Question about placing

So I placed a plot (the plot was visible but then I hit cancel, wanted to test the spot), when I tried placing in that exact same spot again with the same size(I took a pic for reference) I was not able to, instead I'd get the message "This is not a valid location, etc..".

what is going on?
