Question about Mailboxes

Okay, I was really excited about the mailboxes... at first. but they seem to be working like nothing more than a fancy regular box. No special functionality. I attempted to drop some stuff into the box with an unfriended character... and got the same error message I would if I was trying to drop stuff in a locked-down box marked anyone. "you have to be a friend". Switch it to secure... and anyone can take stuff out of it.

There is no difference between this and a regular box that I can see.

Did you secure it instead of lock it down?

Yes. Securing it just made it so that items can be taken out by anyone as well as put in.

I'll have to give it some more experimentation later.

My friend secured her mail box with Owner and I was able to put something in (not a friend or co owner) and then I wasn't able to open it either, Sounds like something isn't right on your setup.

My understanding is, anyone can put items in. The only people who can access the items, however, are dependent on the access level you set it to. If you set it to everyone, then everyone can both place items in and remove them. If, however, you set it to guildmates, then anyone can place items in but only guildmates could remove items.

AHA! That did it. My problem was I was trying to OPEN it. Booyah.

Now this thing just became four levels of awesome.
