After a short vacation and then a serious computer malfunction (p.s. - remove your main hard drive before taking it to a repair shop! They "accidentally" reformatted mine.), I went to my vendor to find that it is gone and the house has been sold. I don't get the context sensitive house menu to claim my vendor - is it gone? Can I still claim it?

If you couldn't get it via the house sign the new owner of the house may have it in the removal crate. So you can try ask them to give it to you.

Goodluck.

I took a malfunctioning external drive to a pc shop. Rather than attempt to recover the files, they formatted and partitioned it. I got the phonecall "We got your drive working!", it sounded like good news..

Long story short, I got my files back myself using a free application called PhotoRec. I know it's probably too late to tell you now, but it's a handy thing to know or share.

It's funny, of all the things I'm strict about backing up, my UO macros are near the top of the list.
