Question about CEO battle

Okay, I've done my share of CEO battles, but I've noticed something and would like to hear what you guys say. Rarely do I see any toons using the golf balls. When I see no one there, I will go ahead and go myself, thunk away, but I don't see where I make a whole lot of difference, so I too will give that up. Is it worth the effort for one toon to golf the CEO? Or has the word gone out that it's better for all toons to be on the tables?

in my short experience the golf part really dosent help much unless you have 3 or 4 toons doing it. Then it only slows his movement. When everyone is on the table the battles go much faster and he dies much easier. But this is one toons opinion.

For a golfer's run, the optimal distribution would be 3 at golf and 5 at tables.

Wrinkleflip is right: when everyone is hitting him, the battle is shorter. He may be harder to outrun, but he makes course corrections constantly so there's time to maneuver out of the way. In other words he tends to stay in one place longer.

Savanna (my daughter, the "other" Sally Sniffleslam) did one last night while we were CJ'ing (she didn't have enough notices) and no one golfed and they were done before I was done with my CJ (we went in at relatively the same time...) Of course, she got a really good group (in NR no less...), but she said it seemed faster with all on the tables.

As everyone else has said, unless there is 3 on golf, its pointless. The battle is much faster with everyone on tables.

yeah an all toon selzter is way faster, only 2 times in my experience of ceo'ing have the toons (if they golf) gotten the ceo's treads red.

Thanks everyone. That explains things. Wonder why TT even bothered with it?

Honestly I'm surprised there hasn't been a tweak yet to make golfing more effective.

I think it was good at the beginning while everyone was learning what to do. At first we used to do 4 on tables and 4 golfing. We could always get the treads deep red which really slowed him down. It was great at first because it allowed us that didn't know how to get the good shots in to learn to do so. It also let everyone get the hang of when to hop off the tables and avoid a slow CEO. Once everyone figured out how to get -6 shots on the bottles it made golf obsolete. Now I rarely see anyone golfing.

I think it may be a good idea for someone's first few runs to start with golfing. That way, you get a chance to really learn to listen to the "Fore!" and the whole routine, getting in the habit of jumping. You really don't do jumping in the CFO, although you do in the VP and CJ, but it's a matter of getting your head to accept the routine, jumping to avoid being hit, how to work the tables, listening for unites, etc. I know the first CEO run I went on, I had a hard time figuring out how to work the seltzer bottles. I went with the CCG and didn't have any TFs, and didn't understand about shooting the seltzer bottle, so I would be using the ctrl key like it was the delete key in VP and CJ!! Nothing was happening!!
