Quest: A Dish Best Served Cold

Not sure if this is the right place to post, so here goes:

To obtain the Recipe for Blackrock Stew, we have to kill Ophidian enemies (Bane Chosen). I know there is a small camp at Spirituality (close to moongate). Is there some other way to get to 5000 points? 3 per kill is slow going.....Thanks

look for which town is being invaded, the bane in town give slightly higher points and are more plentiful.

Probably a dumb question but do you need -5000 Bane or +5000 Ophidian?

Your guess is correct, although it might be something like +5001 - there was another thread on the boards a couple of weeks ago talking about this subject, so you might want to do a quick search to confirm.

Yes, +5000 Ophidian....

And, since the recipe is a recipe scroll, the cook doesn't have to be the one to take the quest. And, it finally gives a use for all those small pieces of blackrock.

Do be advised, though, that your cook will need to get the recipe for A Bowl of Rotworm Stew as well. That food is a raw ingredient for the Ophidian version of Blackrock Stew, and you have to carve dead rotworms for the ingredients (note - the Harvester's blade's bonus works REALLY well in this regard - especially if humans get their bonus as well (not checked)).

Anyone that has never fought on the side of the bane, that has fought against the bane in the town invasions for about 1-2 hours per trip for 10 or more trips, should be fairly close to +5000 Ophidian loyalty as well.
