PvP in EC

Hey guys I just upgraded my comp and all that good stuff so the EC runs GREAT. I can sampire and mystic dexxer pvm with the best of them. Only problem is... I cant pvp with a mage with it . If any real pvp mages out there wanna hit me upt ommorrow to maybe set me up icq me please 647331688

i just set up my dexxer as well on the ec and would love to duel a bit, as it seems so foreign.

I pvp just fine with the EC on any template...

Its all about playing with macro's.

The EC lets you do more than you could with UOA int he CC, at least I think anyways. It just takes a little bit of time playing with different macro setups to see which ones work best for you, same principle works for both PvP and PvM.

I've played this game for YEARS, my account is 106months, and had to take a 2 yr break due to some family emergencies, and love the EC, given their are some bugs that really need worked out.

Many other veterans hate the graphics etc. Im glad to see other people liking it.

The two targeting systems are a big problem. Target current and last target don´t work together. You need to work around that. As long as your target does not leave the screen your fine
But it´s not impossible to play a mage with the EC.

Why worry about pvp when you have new and improved boat movements! WOOPTY F$3kin do!

I'd love to switch to it honestly... it's just showing no major improvement for pvp game play. One thing that's kinda funny about it is that you could set up a dress macro for your normal pvp suit... but then if you get into some trouble you could instantly switch to a suit with 18 HPR and 70 DCI while you're running away... Seems a bit silly.

Ya i know...as gimpy as it sounds that was one reason I wanted to switch...run faster insta change suits...insta change to a 50 ep 18 hpr regen suit on the fly while in trouble...insta change to a 21 dci twink instead of a 15 dci planesword if your hit with HLD...lota usefull stuff i just cant get used to the feel and the targeting system.

I'm on ATL mainly but I do have a dexxer on baja I could play and probably GL. If nothing else we can always set up similar builds to what we have on TC.

Biggest problem for the EC is that PvP was never tested in beta. While many issues were brought up with regards to inconsistencies that involved targetting, they were all thoroughly dismissed by either...

A) we are not supporting PvP testing at this time or...
B) there are no issues with the EC at this time regarding the issues you provided.

I liked the client aside from those *little* issues that really didn't even supposedly exist.

Pvp's about 10-20% of the total UO community so yeah expect what Restroom said to be true. We're pretty much only looked at in the dev's spare time.

I used to be completely against the new arena stuff, but since players will be in a controlled area it'll be easy to point out the imbalances of pvp and hopefully draw more attention of these things to the devs.

I wish i could play a mage reliably and effectivly in EC, but i just can't. If i could pvp with my mage in the EC it might bring a little more dynamic and flare to uo for me and make me want to play more again.

Sadly, i've listed TONS of problems playing a mage in EC and mos tof it is pushed to the wayside, they don't give in, and i give up on it, seems fair to me.
