PvP heal mage... worth the effort?

I've searched here and looked at all the templates dealing with healing skill.

Before we start the template and desired critique, here are some things to note:
1) I'm an experienced mage PvPer... mostly a RED mage(nox parry). Not claiming a good one just that I can play them and survive:p
2) It is not intended to be a 1v1 template. It is a support char for field fighting(spawning, raiding, etc). That is usually my forte:thumbsup:
3) Ignore the lack of resist. I know the good and bad here. I don't need it regurgitated to me.:next:
4) The char is going to be in factions and will be taking advantage of the items(folded steel, fey legs, orny, crystalline, crimson) Yes, he will be PvP'd and more than likely will go red.
5) This char will rarely if ever be used a Yew gate. Yew just does not entertain me:thumbsup:

The template I'm considering is:
115 magery (120 when a scroll pops up... locked at 100)
115 eval (120 when a scroll pops up)
105 anatomy (100 when I 120 eval)
120 parry
120 ninja (animal form and throwing poison'd junk is cool:loser: )
80 heal
80 med (or some similar split)

I will be using both faction bandaids as well as fountain bandaids(aka +10 healing)

So resist aside, where is my thinking flawed?

Is 80 in healing enough to get cures? I realize the 80ish dex I will have means 7 second self heals.

Is 80 med enough to take advantage of 10+ mr my suit should end up having?

Personally I use 81 healing + Stichers to achieve 91 healing. I also have a necro mage (obviously different character) that I use to run with about 12 mr and 80 Med and it worked fine for me, so I assume the combination would be fine. I am human in a faction and using the earings to wear the stichers. On a side note I do not have Ninja, I run with alchemy and enhance pots to better heal myself, just giving options ;).

Now to answer your actual questions, 80 Healing is fine but you have a chance to fail especially if you are being hit, also you do not have 100% to cure all poison. 80 Med can be fine if you know how to play a mage with a slightly lower Regen rate, if you are use to 120 med and deck out 10+ mr you may run into a bit of a problem getting use to it but practice will get you use to it I am sure.

If I did not answer you well enough post more questions and we can discuss this, it is a template I enjoy playing so I enjoy talking about it too. :)

i used to run the same template but with 90 healing from stichers and resists instead of ninja. You simply Could Not kill me 1v1. I was knowen to tank 4-5 dexers. So where did i fall short. I couldnt kill any non noob 1v1.

So for group fights its handy.esp considering you can res without manna. I dont think youd be very good as a fielder becouse you will run out of manna.

Everything has pretty much been said. You want something that will add up to 90 healing OVERALL. With just 80 healing, you will fail more than what be acceptable.

From what has been stated, it seems you relish the group vs. group encounters. For me, I have always liked the isolated one on one encounters or even 2 vs. me. Hence, I am not for these types of templates per say.

The plus is that if you do keep 80 dexterity AND have your stuff set up correctly...you can be just be plain ******** in terms of opponents trying to land a hit on you.

I would just stack as much MR as you are possibly able to since you will have to counter the resist piece (naturally where some of the ninjitsu stuff will come in handy).

I wouldn't say I relish group PvP... but that is strictly the environment I PvP in. Partially because of RL ability and partially because of the cost of l33t gear:thumbsup:

So I work on support or durable templates.:dunce:
