Compete with scripters who have advanced placing scripts ready for the use ??

There is no contest as with everything in a game that does not oppose cheating as it should be.

Then why even bother ??

If this was to be done seriously, than on the proper day there would be a team of Game masters on all shards, both in Trammel and Felucca, ready to ban any and all cheaters using inproper ways to place on the still open plots in Magincia.

I am not holding my breath to actually see that happening.

Has it been confirmed that the tickets won't disappear when they expire after the 30 days?
I haven't read anything either way, but if you're hanging onto it as a rare, it might be worth verifying that it will even exist to be rare, and that you won't lose both the ticket and the chance of the plot.

my gold scroll as no time expire time on it??? just assumed it will be 30 days ..thought id read that somewere

and SW4 in felluca though....kinda edged my bets becuase i knew i wouldnt be lucky enough for a tram spot...and felluca gave good odds...really wanted a scroll to keep as a rare mate more than any plot...but i will keep tabs on felluca magincia and see if it takes off....i doubt it mind as theres only 2 plots been placed so far.....saying that trammel aint doing much better with only 6 plots placed out the 22

first off you got no idea what your talking about. I have seen the house placement script and it takes about a half an hour to work on one section of screen & all it does is go tile by tile and try to place whatever size house you tell it to place. Your not being cheated.
Second off this is why you don't hold a stupid lottery so every nub on UO gets a plot there and then bishes day and night about not being able to place the house when 9.5x outa 10 they are doing it wrong anyways. Those house plots are worthless so stop your crying.

House placement in New Magincia is subject to all normal house placement rules. Placing a new
house in New Magincia will cause that account’s other houses, if any, to become condemned.
All other house placement rules still apply. The Writ of Lease simply grants the bearer of the
Writ the exclusive option to build on the indicated lot of land within a 30-day window.

So if they don't disappear when you place... What keeps less honest folks from placing and then selling the writ after? Does the wording change to reflect that it has been redeemed/used?

Yes... the wording changes.

the wording changes to expired on the writ scroll...when u place

then again if u keep the writ scroll and dont place when it does expire it will still say expired ....same as....

the writ scrolls will have basically a rare value of some kind because there are only 44 per shard...but they will all say expired in the end
