yeah it's almost impossible without a totem
Yea I decided to spend my free time in UO taming without a totem since Friday or so. I haven't had much time to play and it's been all broken up so I don't have much in the way of stats but it hasn't been great for colors to spawn. Again don't have any concrete numbers but I'd guess I've probably gone through maybe 800-1000 mares total and I've had a handful of void/shiny along with 2 or 3 greys and 1 bloodwood red.
I'm starting to wonder if the spawn rate on the colored mares is spawn point by spawn point (mare to mare) or like global (shard). Meaning if a purple mare is 1 in 50k would I eventually get one if I stayed at the same spawn point killing 50k mares OR would it be that after 50k mares are killed on the shard one would appear somewhere.
The reason I wonder this is because if we are talking spawn to spawn then the shard won't really matter but if we are talking globally then a shard like ATL where all spawn points are camped and people are killing mares left and right as soon as they spawn; that's going to be a better shard for getting purples versus a shard slower shard.
