Publish and the iron beetle

I thought one of the fixes was that you no longer needed taming for an iron beetle. I tried to tranfer one from my tamer to my miner, an got the old it doesn't trust you.
Did I read the publish notes wrong?

Just making sure you realize... the iron beetle doesn't have any functional purpose. It just changes color when you feed it ore.

The change may not have been made to apply retroactively to iron beetles tamed before the publish went into effect. In other words, the one you have may be considered "rare."

How well fed is it? Sometimes it is just a matter of feeding it several times before transferring.

Sure it does. It mines too. Well....if you have 4 hours to mine one spot.

I wonder if you were one of those people who have a house in those secret Malas valleys if you could just feed it and let it wander around those valleys digging up ore while you go do other things. Then return and collect it all on occasion.

Nope my houses are on the water, no where near a mountain. I am hoping someday they improve the iron beetle.
