I use to enjoy the harry's on Cats back in the day when the DB4 idiot alliance would try to ally the whole shard to kill ya's.

Is this a HOT bash disguised as a PR event or a PR event disguised as a HOT bash? Either way it's too little too late with your rep. You've been on the shard long enough for people to know who the "bad guys" are. I don't like HOT either but no one is mistaking them for a guild thats ruining pvp or the games economy.
It's pretty funny that you think these little tokens you offer "promote pvp" when your guild is the main cause of its decline. It's no wonder your members are bored, that guild on GL (Cal? or whoever) is about the closest thing you could get to a challenge but where are your members? Afk killing and drobing people like MSI who (& no insult to them, as their good guys) are relatively new to the pvp scene.
Ah well, I won't be on for it anyway but I hope for your own sake you one day realise how your "offers" are not wanted. The only time VIP promoted pvp on Atlantic was when you xfered and LNR came out of hiding.
Oh and I'm a complete unknown, even a complete unknown knows which guild is suffocating this shard. I don't expect any of this to get through to you, isn't your motto "Avoid"?

A poll on our private forums was started on July 10th with 15 in favor and 0 against.
I even sought advice from former GM of DEI (Sakarrah) on running such an event.
HOTs "public" harrower, just like the guild itself, was an epic failure.
While some of them do a lot for the community, many players do not trust them for different reasons, none of which I can mention on these boards.
Everyone has a a lot to gain and nothing to lose on Sunday.
I don't expect HOT to give us much of a fight so we're definately not promoting PvP... you never know though.
PS: MSI loves Goose and Goose loves them back!!

I don't know why you would need advice for such a simple event. So it has taken you months to plan this thing out, that is a very efficient guild you have going.
It was more about making sure everyone knew what to do and how many players to expect. In your case, the number was 0, so you had nothing to worry about. I expect and hope a few more players will show up to ours. 
In the last month, we've dominated factions. I think it took us 11 days to completely destroy HEATwho had less then 1 faction point per player.
We've also recruited 2 new players in the last month. Unlike HOT, we need to discuss new recruits as a guild and make sure we guild quality over quantity.
We're also working on our new guild called H0T! and discussing future plans for Atlantic.
Unlike HOT, we can actually shape Fel :bowdown:

Thats not exactly suprising is it, you put all the best pvpers on one side everyone else will lose. Congratulations you're a genius, not.
Unlike HOT you're obsessed with their guild, you seem to think measuring how much better than them your guild is makes your guild look better, it doesn't. You think making a mock HOT guild of all tamers is some master plan, it isn't. Though it does make other people pity your members that they have to go along with it.

Regardless of what you have to say, those that want to enjoy a harrower from start to finish are more then welcomed.
Even if only 2 players show up, they will keep all 32 scrolls to themselves and actually get to know The Ebay Alliance members.

Thanks Goose and the rest of VIP! for the public harrys. I got a 25 stat scroll and we got a bunch from protection too. There was a ton of people there, it reminded of how harry's on Atl used to be.
I snagged some screenies for the people who weren't able to make it.

Before everyone goes thanking VIP, keep in mind that if anyone else does an event like this they crash it. HOT used to spawn these all the time for people until guilds like VIP made it impossible.
Link is mad that we killed his guild before they even made it in the dungeon

Ya know, I fought thes guys when they were on cats. V!P, formerly SX, and truthfully they do their jobs. They are suppose to come raid spawns and harrowers. I mean if they wasnt doing it some other guild would.
I so remember fighting Mike Logan(if thats the right name on cats of SX) and it was 3 if us and just him at Moonglow. He slaughtered us so many times before we finally got him once. rezzed him and he was a really cool guy talking to him after that. V!P may get slammed for this and that but I mean cmon whats the purpose of UO. To be the best at PvP.
V!P should get some props for doing a public harrower in my book. Good job guys.

Of course they crash it...but the difference is that VIP kept both Harrowers guarded so that the people of the Atlantic could come down and have some fun doing stuff that they might not be able to do with their guilds. This was a great event and I am glad to see that there was a lot of people there. And just maybe they are the only guild that could have pulled this event off.
We all had fun and everyone got what they wanted.
We got to PvP vs HOT and LUB while the rest of Atlantic did a harrower or a spawn.
The only thing stopping us from doing this more often is gathering the Oaks Skulls. Not a lot of us have the patience for PvM anymore but we're going to work on that.

No, the difference is VIP does not care if they ruin someone's event. HOT tries to let them run as much as possible. If we really were like VIP, we could have gotten in there and perhaps stopped the whole thing. But when most of us are against disrupting announced events, it isn't going to happen against 30 VIP guarding. We also pulled back our forces even more when LUB came over. When VIP decided to ally COW again, we thought that LUB might actually have a chance at ruining the event, which would have not been fun.

So you could have raided and taken the harry, but instead your guild decided to sit outside of shame and get killed by VIP instead? All because you didn't want to disrupt the event?

lol w/e. Only time HOT ever did public harrowers was right after pre-aos and you didn't have enough zerglings to keep the whole shard out. Just because you had most of the shard allied does not mean you did a public harrower. You have a lively imagination Link, public harries and thinking you can actually pvp...

Not a huge fan of this mindset as if everyone did that...there would be no one in fel. Everyone has to learn somewhere.
2. No offense Link....but you raved about a Faction event for months...then failed to show up for the event when lots of people X-sharded over for it...then you joined when they all left.

We did bring blues and got scrolls. Others went to just poke fun at VIP in a mock raid. To put on a good show.

It's like that boss you have at work who will tell you "how" to do the job -- give you little pointers and tips and what not -- but who you know cannot do the job himself.
"PvP guilds" (if you want to call them that) should not be run by non-'PvPers'. It's like taking exercise lessons from Jack Black -- what's the point, besides a little humor?

id go to any public har, but id end up hitting a bunch of reds on accident and messing it up for eveyone.
Anyone who had the power to run a public har on this poluted shard should, and respect should always be given when announced in advance. gj hot and vip and whoever else hogs all that stuff. keep up the good work.
