I’m going to need to start this with a small apology; this actually doesn’t have anything to do with Planetside 2.
But, we picked up Mr. Smedley’s teasing that there’d be 2 announcements coming, and ran that.
So, apologies all round.
Just to recap:
The bones of the idea is that SOE will provide the means for players to create custom content for EverQuest and EverQuest II, and then submit it for possible approval and inclusion into the game.
At some point in the future, Free Realms and Vanguard will also be included.
Now, you might be noticing a lack of excitement in this post.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great idea.
But it has nothing to do with Planetside 2, so I’m here writing a news article about something that isn’t exactly relevant.

We think it’s going to be a big shift for SOE and I believe a lot of others in our industry will follow.”
