Is it true that the new fishing boss drops powerscrolls? Making it so people can farm powerscrolls in tram?

Even if its true. It taking lots and lots of hours to even get the spyglass and the bait to pull one up. And it going to take several people to kill him and his tentacles. I pretty sure "if" its true its hardly a competition for PS at champ spawn in Felucca.
Heard nothing about this; seems unlikely.
I've been wrong before but it seems really unlikely.

the scrolls that raise crafting skill caps are earned as rewards for successfully filling and returning Bulk Order Deeds. Fishing scrolls are similar in this respect, but are obtained by doing large number of Professional Fisher Quests.
The "quest Giver" ... technically Da boss o You ... HUH!!!

Probably because the amount of powerscrolls you may get from the fishing bosses as well as the difficulty involved pales in comparison to how easy it is to get numerous powerscrolls from one of the many champ spawns in Fel.
Really this late in the game (almost a decade of champ spawns) I'm surprised anyone needs powerscrolls other than mysticism anymore. People who get banned and have to start over fuel the market I suppose...

Kinda not the point. The powerscrolls and champ spawns were put in the game to fuel pvp.
Shortly people will find a way to zoom through these "boss" monsters just like we've learned how to solo those "peerless" monsters that were supposed to be harder than anything ever... Melisande, Dreadhorn, these were supposed to be team effort hard to do things as well.
FishMongers give up scrolls like Fayled said.. My fisherman has like 65 Archery so I don't ever see a boss in his future.. I usually fish alone.. I might start doing MiB's with him if I get him up to 90 or so..Hmmmm, depends on what you mean by "boss"

Since we can, it's not over until our crafter can be a 7x120 necro mage, you know?
Then it's a matter of working other shards, as well ;D.The new boss is one of the main reasons why I've tried to start fishing again, but I still don't know anyone who has gotten the oracle thing or whatever. Seems pretty rare. I wonder, if they drop PSs, what the intensity range is.
I really just wanted to fight something new.
I think this is highly unlikely, there is certainly nothing in the publish notes. IF Charybdis drops any kind of power scroll it will probably be 120 Fishing.
This team really likes Fel. Remember our Producer called Trammel players "care bears," a term typically meant to be insulting, and key parts of the Ricardo quest were in Fel.
The odds of power scrolls dropping in Tram under their watch are very small. (I should specify: Dropping intentionally. This is UO so weird bugs happen. A lot.)
If they do it's probably an obscenely low rate and/or only up to 110s or something like that. And, let's face it, on a substantive level scrolls should have dropped in Ilshenar for some time.
But for the moment this feels like one of those rumors we get here.

Ever since Powerscrolls were introduced the team have consistently been adamant that they would not be introduced in Tram.
The fact that our, then new, producer used a term that some people consider an insult does not mean they are 'for' Fel nor that they are 'against' Tram. They are desperately trying to relate to, and cater for, every player in the game. I do not consider the term to be an insult. I am proud to be a 'caring' individual. I doubt very much that Cal meant to insult anyone when he used it.

I get my powerscrolls from vendors. Seems like they are dropping thousands daily.
Ugggh. Could be worse. At least the population isnt 30% of what it was 2 years ago.
Anyways cant wait until NetDragon does their thing.

Well, i trust you and i really appreciate the effort but they should try harder, a lot harder.
I know of many shards where PvP is almost non existent. The blues worked together and was chaining spawns but they knew what time the reds would come on. They would leave and avoid fights. Two japanaese shards are exactly that. Sad thing is the blues actually outnumber the reds but just dont want to fight. Plus with lower population of the game now days some guilds know when to chain spawns at certain types of the day.
Spawns are more PvM and PvP. A spawner has to fight off the mob and when raided have to fight off a raider on top of it. Not exactly my version of true PvP. I raided spawns so I know how much easier to kill a person when they are already taking damage from spawns. PvP to me is open field fighting.
Yew gate is a form of PvP but with a guard zone and houses its not open field PvP. Running in houses,fighting from inside, running off to the guard zones and calling guards, ect ect
My version of PvP and your version may differ. If spawns are a way to "lure" players to fel for PS that actually dont want to pvp but just to do spawns then your not really having PvP. Not all players are good at PvP it kind of gets ZZzzzzzZZZzzzz killing the same unlucky skilled players that are PvMing and hoping to get away with scrolls.
HeH! What do I know? Raiding spawns or being raided after all these years got really old. Instead of the devs making a real purpose to PvP in fel, they still rely on champ spawns since they cant fix factions to have PvP.
Like I said in my previous post. The market is flooded with them anyway. If a player dont like a vendor price then they can go to a site and buy them with real cash. PvP needs more than champ spawns to be the "fuel" for the PvP in itself. Until the devs find that cure for UO PvP then let PS stay in fel for all I care. I have no need for PS anymore
unless they make a new one I dont have and needed Hasn't that always been the UO player base ways. To zoom through everything in the game that is hard to get those items that make them billions in gold. It's the freestyle sandbox on how to make templates that makes it that way
I think the only time there were PSs in Tram was back during an EM event or something in which a Harrower was spawned, and stat scrolls dropped? Not sure if there have been any other events like that. A lot of Trammies have asked for 105-110 skill scrolls over the years, but most Fel guilds drop those at the spawn or at Luna bank, so, heh, it all balances out. Funny thing is how people buy <120 scrolls like hot cakes just to bind them nowadays. Makes it harder, I'd assume, for noobs to find 110s to buy, cause you have these binding hoarders.
If you still need several PS's for your characters after all this time you aren't trying very hard. Why do you guys think they added SoTs and replicas? Doing Fel champ spawns for scrolls was mostly played out. Even now its more of an excuse to pvp than the goal of scrolls. I see people begging for others to come fight spamming general chat with "COME RAID ME!!!" all the time.
I have been living & pvping in Fel for 14 years and IMO the creation & implementation of powerscrolls in Fel only has been one of the best things the Dev's ever did.
Nobody will ever be able to explain to me why they should not stay in Fel only forever. They were logically created there, they have always remained there(the real ones that is)& if you want to compare high-end items between facets you will quickly see how many more 'goodies' are not available in Fel.
That being said I probably still would not care too much if serious 120's dropped elsewhere EXCEPT for the fact that 99.9% of the people that I have seen whining for scrolls ingame & on these boards over the years have never made any sense at all.
I am sure they dont realize it but when they rant for scrolls they are just making themselves look gutless & greedy
Too gutless to get their own & too greedy to be able to stand the fact that even though they have many more high-end items that are only available outside of Fel they just have to have a piece of everything. It is the idea that they just can't have everything that really bothers them IMO. They are like children not comprehending or caring what is correct or what is not correct. It's just "gimme, gimme, gimme"
I am sure that damn near every person on these boards whining about scrolls has made 100x the amount of gold needed to buy them without ever having stepped foot in Fel.
Whats the problem?
If I want a high end item for my pvp suit that I cant get in Fel I simply go to Tram or Luna and buy it off a vendor. Works for me. Whats the problem?
Resentment is an ugly thing & best left out of a game that should be played for fun
