Are they going to make prof. forums like the old strats? I have been real dissapointed in the change that has come to this. Just my opinion!

It's amazing how many times this is asked, each person apparently not checking to see if such an obvious question has been asked (and answered repeatedly).
Yes, the Profession forums will be coming back. It just takes a little time to get them back.
In the last 7-10 days, the KR forum & Player memorial forum were restored, and the non-archived threads* from the shard forums were restored to their corresponding forums. The restoration process is underway, one or two forums at a time.
Most likely, when they return, the profession forums will return as a group, which is why they are taking longer than some of the others. There are a number of UO forums other than the profession forums that are still not imported (some of which will probably be merged with existing forums) - and there's still the matter of restoring all the OTHER games' forums. Just because UO's the biggest group of forums - 34 total that have returned so far, not counting professions - doesn't mean the others can be ignored.
(*The old forum software was set to archive most posts that hadn't been replied to in 6 months, IIRC, unless a post was marked to keep on the main level, such as a stickied post. The new forums will not use an archive feature, as of last report, and no timeline has been given for the restoration and merger of archived posts)

a few examples of where this subject has been dealt with.... (some of these were started in U.Hall but moved to the Players center by the UHall mods). The high numbers on some posts are ones that date from after the restoration of some of the old forum data, vastly increasing the number of posts in the system.
