I've been trying for a few days to buy crystal shards off a vendor in south east luna named crystal shards, but every time i do it always says "that item is being considered for purchase..." I've been trying daily, and it has the cheapest price I can find in luna, but it wont let me buy from it. what is the problem?

ok, now that I kind of understand the problem, will the devs please chime in and fix this? i don't have any vendors myself, but if i did i would be super mad.

I don't want to be forced to pay a higher price for an item that is lower on other vendors just because a player doesn't agree with it...this is dirty

I wonder if the abuser keeps making trial accounts and returning to continue the activity, or, if it's something else entirely.

One thing that would be impossible to fix fast was if the abuser kept returning on trial accounts (and maybe using a proxy). They would indeed have to get a codefix. BUT, if that is the case, I hope the investigation gets a break and whichever seller's 'main' who is causing this gets his proverbial luna house burned down.

GMs will not respond to the pages on this situation. by house owner acct and the owner of vendor. we have all tried

Ok, from what i've read it has to do with constantly trying to buy the items and leaving the buy gump on the screen. What I don't understand is why you would need that gump open for multiple items at the same time. Maybe this problem can be fixed if the devs change vendors to only allow one buy gump open at a time??

multiple gumps does have its uses. When buying quantity off a vendor, I quite often used to click and buy, click and buy, the go to the confirm on the gumps and click away, cause they are all stacked. Saves a lot of mouse movement.

I've had a look into this and have found the individual hiding in another vendors house (Maybe his?). Obviously not a very bright fellow especially as his name is a 'misspelled' offensive word.

If the GM's done respond with the griefing then report him for his name and state your offended with his name. That should kick start them into action.

Maybe they can make it so the vendor owner can override any pending purchases? Which means that a vendor owner can take any item off a vendor even if someone is trying to buy it.

That way at least this kind of griefing (hopefully) would be fixed...

That's my vendor that is being exploited. I appreciate your attempt to patronize my vendor...

I've tried on multiple occasions to get GM assistance as have others but simply get a canned response the matter is under investigation. You can easily track and see there are hidden characters there 24/7.

PM me and I'll gladly sell you some Crystal Shards on Atlantic.

The exploiter has been doing this for over 2 weeks now with 3 separate accounts (trial?) sabotaging 2 of my vendors.

Whoever owns the vendor "In Marble Plate" on Atlantic on the north side of Luna is the one responsible of that I'm 100% certain.

This is one of the dirtiest exploits I've seen since playing UO circa 1997.

If allowing this type of behavior/exploitation to continue is any indication the state of the game is in then it's not good for all of us.

That's not going to fix the problem of allowing someone else to buy the item.

Rskg4 has it right and the code needs to be altered so you cannot have multiple items in your buy que. Then again this guy is suct a nutter he just might login with 20-30 trial accounts.
