Problem with Marking Runes

I was looking for my lantern pumpkin when someone gated me to a Vesper lantern house - there were a LOT of pumpkins there, but NO lag.
I found mine and waited a bit for someone to come & unlock it. Went outside, marked a rune, labeled it, but left it loose in my backpack. Then I recalled off a locked down rune on their steps for a Second storage house to look for someone to unlock it.
No one there so I recalled off the rune I just made, went about 2 tiles(the same spot that the locked down rune was marked for)! WTF?
Then my rune disappeared (or went invis'd) - it showed up a few hours later
Kinda Reminded me of when I marked near the Brit turn-in event, and it took me underneath my house sign.

Anyone else have problems similar to this?

Sounds like the boat in trinsic that's takes you to your last recalled/saved spot.

No idea why that would happen though

I found that if I have my boat rune set as the default in my runebook, all runes in that same runebook will take me to my boat.

Not the same situation but I wonder if they are somehow related. I haven't tested with other runes outside of that same book.
