[Price Check] price check on items in my museum

hi, i have a museum on origin, it was listed in the old museum lists, same place it has the follwing items in it please note none of these are up for trade or sale. they will be with me till the game finnaly closes its servers for good.(the true rares, rubble and event items, the others possibly but not right now)

yes there are some changling items displayed. these items were deemed legal to own when they changed the robes to monks robes.

multi colored pike
paladins sword

the following will be in the museum for display within the next month as i get it moved there :

tiny open book (the size of one of the pictures for the obsidian statue quest)
silver ware north
plate of food
ruined bookcases both facings

rock (doom type but not arti rating)
bones(container looking but not container)

Approximately 1B/collection, give or take 25% or so. (This would assume maximum sale prices.)

Er, why would you want a price check if you absolutely plan on never selling? You put out a huge list and ask someone else to waste their time pricing, essentially. Whats the point of that?

wow, jeeze i cant be curious? thanks a bunch for the negitivity. im glad people on this forum are soo nice... sorry my collection is a bunch of crap.

I'm fairly new to this forum, so shoot me down in flames if you like.. But really i cant see the harm in trying to find out how much you'r collection is worth.

Could be to compare how much you've spent, to how much its worth. Or a number of any other reasons i am failing to think of.

However all said and done, its under the prefix [Price check] - Not [selling] ...

The only reason i can think of is to " SHOW OFF" his rares. Not a very impressive set of rares anyway. Mostly semi-rare stuff.

I kinda feel i should also add, i think thats rude, and completely un-called for. Its a collection of items considered rare, no matter how meager a collection is, it deserves a certain amount of respect.

i'm with you, draf, i felt it was a bit rude too.

Doesn't really matter what his agenda is - find out how much he's spent, vs how much he might get back. A little show off - ha! show me a rares collector that DOESN'T like showing off his stuff (with a few hermits, yeah, we got them, but most put up museums to show them off).

i thought it was a nice, beginning to mid-range collection, and no obvious dupes in there. A rares collector doesn't have to have the 500m-1b pieces to be a rares collector.

I understand the backlash. You are an active merchant, and that's a big list, I'm sure you have some idea of the value of your collection... if there's a few items that you'd really like to price out, I'm sure you could just put a price check for just those and you'd receive some more friendly answers.

If the items are never to be for sale, then they are priceless, as they cannot be obtained for any price.

However, never is a long time, I thought I would never sell my collection till Catskills shuts down, but the years kept passing and UO servers remained up =) After 5 years I decided I had had a good enough run and decided to sell out.
