as I recall they are pretty easy to get, if you go to heartwood you might trip over a discarded bag that has one in it.

10gp seems a bit pricey I might try another source, lol

Yeah, doesn't take very long to get the recipes. It's not like the fletcher quest where there are a bunch of other recipes in the mix. 1-10k sounds reasonable.
