I also have a gold female plate piece. I don't know why it doesn't say golden. Do none of the plate pieces say the ore type?

Hi there,

at first glance I was about to say it was shadow because of the durability as you havealready said.

EDIT:What is this?

Second time in just a few days that more than half of my post disappear.
I try again in a new post.

It could be crafted from ingots resulting from smelted npc armor pre-AoS. The durability conversion during the AoS changes would explain that part.

It is possible that the modern smithing system can't add an ore type tag into the pre-AoS item label. I've never tried 'busting up' double exceptional armor before.

Normal plate armor today does show it though. "Golden Platemail Gorget," etc.

Oki,

I try again.

When I checked my own coal armor I noticed that it also have durability.
The armor was sold as coal armor by a wellknown rares poster.

I have compared my so called coal armor with shadow and my so called coal armor is much darker.

I have also compared with the darkest of the new pigments which also are the same as the old npc armor colour, and my so called coal armor is still darker.

I have seen other rares collector display their so called coal armor without the durability.

A few more things to add.

Your armor part as well as mine is double excep and have durability.

Coal armor displayed by other rare collector do not have not double excep and no durability.

How old is double excep?
When was the new smith menu introduced?

I think its possible that both our armor and armor with no durability and no double excep is coal armor.
