Prediction on future item bless deed value?

I just recently came back to UO after being away for quite a while. I saw this cleaning event was coming up, so I started digging through my bank accounts to see what I had. I had a bunch of anniversary boxes, Christmas deeds, snow globes, etc. Honestly, not a whole lot, but it amounted to approximately 220,257 points. From what it looks like, item bless deeds are going to be 50,000 points.

That means I can buy 4 item bless deeds, and I'm not even a pack rat. I just had a few gifts in each character's bank that I can turn in for points. I can only imagine how many points someone who saves everything will have. Currently item bless deeds seem to go for about 40-50mil. Any guesses as to how low they'll go once the cleaning event starts? I'm thinking the value of these are going to go so low that fully blessed suits will be very common now.

I don't think we will see many full blessed suit because blessing imbued items means trash the bless deed, and nowdays the suits are imbued except 2-3 items... then the gold is not a big trouble if not for the very first day of gameplay, so insurance is no more a big deal...

However the price I think will be high at the beginning, maybe 10 mil, then when the market flood begins, probably we will see it at 2 mil, probably less... based on how long the cleaning will stay

would be nice, since the new sets are brittle with 125 durability so they are basically designed to be destroyed fast, and set like the wizard's one is perfect for new players and also a new player could take it by trashing items found around

Just coming back during the wb promo during account migration, I have what I been earning through hunting, a modest house and some decent armor.

I don't have a bunch of items to turn in.

I also missed the personal bless deeds as well when they were given 1 per account back in the day.

I am finally seeing a chance to get one after all this time and I am hoping that a few horders who want them to be super rare don't ruin it for me

5-8 million first week.
People realize insurance is fine
3-5 million the second week.
People realize they have to many points
2-4 million the third week.
People use them up
Average price there after about 4 million. To be used for that weapon.

EA makes them a regular monster drop eventually.

Been said in one of the many other discussion threads on this but why should everyone else suffer because you have one in a museum. Let the rest of us get them who haven't hoarded them for years and didnt get duped ones when that happened (not saying you got yours that way).

Items are for using not hoarding in a display.

Running a musuem is like any characture. The game changes and the items to display change. Be it turn is, replicas, or a fresh discovery of hoarded items.

I don't have a bunch of items to turn in.

Enderz, don't forget you can turn in most monster loot and also a lot of crafted stuff. Leather armor, and I would imagine metal and wood armor as well, seems to be worth the same amount of points as the raw material it took to make them. Craft them with a runic tool and they are worth a bit more.

Personal Bless deeds can be removed and used again on another item. Item Bless Deeds are stuck on the item once used and can not be removed.

just different pixel groups and names ... nothing more nothing less

Item insurance exists, surely no one is suffering at all. And when it comes to collecting, if something has a value, oh well. I am not really concerned over others "suffering" as many aren't concerned that I'm taking an item off of display for these reasons stated above. The whole idea that items are for using and not for display is up for opinion. I pay to play my game my way, and you play yours your way. Whether it be to buy an item at full price, or to wait until EA decides to dish it out as pretty much a freebie.

I like how everyone treats imbued armor like a delicate flower that will turn to dust in a fortnight. I for one haven't even had to repair my main's suit with replicas since I made it. 255 Durability lasts a LOOOOOOOONG time.

So I'm gonna completely bless a few suits. I have a ton of stuff to turn in anyway. Sure insurance is cheaper. Not having to worry about insurance bugs it a plus. Knowing the people who ganked you got a big fat 0? Priceless.

So since MSRP is 5 million, I'd say 3m-4m. People have a lot of crap...

That is the whole problem with this isn't it? The original Clean Up Britannia was to fix a real problem, items in houses would now decay and the developers wanted to make it easier on players. The second Clean Up Britannia was only done because people have asked for years and years. There was no need to do it.

But now they just let you buy any item you want with gold, resources or the points left over from the last time (of which I have 1.5 million).

It is like the developers don't even care what happens anymore, just give people stuff and hope they don't cancel their subscription.

I personally won't be using gold or resources to buy anything. I even sorted through my stuff and equated point value to gold cost to gauge if it is worth turning in or not. I have to few resources to use and gold has much better uses... I also won't be using the bless deeds on my suits since I can't imagine that working out in value with just paying the insurance in the next gazillion years. That being said, I am planning to get as many as I can to bless my EM event items so that I hopefully don't ever have to worry about losing them when wearing them for fun I know you can bless the clothing items, but I have things like earrings, necklaces, tallies and so on that I like to wear sometimes.

From a collectors point of view on the new IBD. Just make them another damn color. Solves the problem. I just don't want to give the dupers happy feet but a new color would perserve the old deeds as a piece of game history.

Say they will cost 4 million gold. It takes 800gp (guessing high) gold to insure a pendant of the magi... that's 5000 deaths for it to pay for itself...

At 50k points - that is 5m in gold to purchase with pure gold. You would assume that they would fall to approx 3-3.5m gold on the open market once clean up is turned on.

A good deal of these will be selected since hey - its only 9 snowmen(6,500 points) to get one and plenty of folks would trade 9 snowmen for not needing to ever insure an item again (jackels collar, etc).

People will stock up on the IBD's since they have usefulness vs some of the deco items.

Provided they turn off the cleaning at some point (and do not allow turn ins to continue) then the price of IBD's will slowly rise. Approx a year out they will trade in the 4.5-6m range. They will continue to rise over the years provided they are not offered again via spring cleaning next year etc just as the current ones have risen to 60m.

Soulstone 5 charge tokens. 500k for a long time. 750k then 1 million. Now about 1.2 million. Over what 5 years. IBD will do the same.

But I would agree 6 million max years down the line.

DONT FORGET this assumes they don't come out again as turn in items.

Changing their color is a nice idea to save the old ones as a rare. Still retain their functionality and retain the value for those that bought them as a rare. As for value verses use... I'm still going to be blessing my EM event items. Even insured I get antsy about losing them when I wear them, read insurance bug into that ;(

I did over hear on GL when i was checking on my characters banks a pair of munchkins talking about how they are guna be stockpiling them like kindling in their houses for future gold making.
So your not far off what Some will do.
There will always be the few who look at everything as a $ sign.

Imbued suits these days really are not worth blessing, that goes for weapons that are imbued too. This limits the use of a bless greatly. Are you going to bless garbage?? I dont think so but there will be some who will.
As for the cost... look at it this way. The cost of things today are astronomical in game, if you think Atlantic prices are out of line go to GL and shop in luna. I nearly fell off my chair!
The minute a new event item hits, the cost is automaticaly 100 mill. if not more if its a rare item. We are the ones who drive prices up not the game. Yes there are going to be lower prices but in the end I highly doubt the item bless will go very low, greed will keep it up there.

Something else to consider about these Bless Deeds and Blessed Clothing in general... they don't go back on your paperdoll when you dbl click your body. They have to be redressed with your dress macro. Which is fine and all but I am betting PvP people wont be blessing their whole suits for this reason.

Actually this is where you are wrong, I am concerned that this affects your gameplay because I think that above all community should be protected in this game as thats what makes UO great not anything else.
As for item insurance negating the suffering - some of us dont farm gold constantly (and in my case I die a heck of a lot cos thats half the fun) and in my years of playing UO I've barely ever had more than 1m gold.

Its great that you have a museum as it is nice to see slices of history but in all honestly I don't see why those of us who weren't around for the original IBD's should miss out because you have one on display. Nothing stops you from continuing to display it.

Agree 255 durability lasts ages as I said above I die loads and even after all that my imbued suit is still on about 210/255 and I haven't yet needed to repair.

QFT - So true. However the devs do need to take into account the community as a whole to benefit everyone and since rares collecting for player museums is a very valid playstyle that needs to be recognised by the devs by making a clear difference between these new IBD's

I had so much gold i bought 2 and used them on my best bows on europa 3 years back. I still used those bows today, and they still look cool with the blessed tag on tehm.
