SHE IS IN THE SURGUCAL WING OF HOSPITAL
BUT CAUSE IT A WEEK END THEY HAVE NOT SEEN ANYONE

I appreciate the prayers, she has had an umbilical hernia and has been waiting almost two weeks to get surgery. She had a CT scan on the 11th and was referred to a surgeon immediately after. Our wonderful medical system at work has been the cause of the delay. Th first surgeon she was referred to did not accept her insurance and the second one accepted it but the hospital that he works out of does not. We sat in the ER from 8pm to almost 4 before being admitted into the surgical wing but we have yet to see a doctor. The nurses think that they will be doing surgery since she was given an EKG to check her heart and that they admitted her to the surgical wing but they cannot confirm it.

I feel your pain about insurance issues..it's been an absolute nightmare for me and my kids.

I hope that she finally gets the care she needs, waiting 2 weeks is UNacceptable, I would be furious.

While i may be sat here with a big smile on my face and as happy as happy can be, you may think im sat here trying to be sarcastic and that will be refelected in the way you read whats been said.

As someone who works in Healthcare I certainly understand. I find it completely insane the Insurance dance BS that goes on in this country. We've had multiple problems with elderly buying into cheap medicare insurance scams that sell them policies knowing full well their insurance isn't accepted anywhere in the state. Mostly because the insurance doesn't cover costs it won't pay but pennies on the dollar for things and doesn't cover anything preexisting and many other things...

It's insane the sorts of things that go on in Healthcare. From scam insurance to Dr's who abuse the system... etc... and sadly many of us just want to help the patient.

At any rate I pray for a speedy recovery.
