I was killing Controllers for the Compassion Sage and ran across this in the Western most room. If you look at the map there are several other areas shown. Old EM event stuff? Or does anyone know how to get to them?

Upon further examination, blue area looks like the Meer Catacombs area that is to the North of Blackthorn's Castle.
