I've been playing a very long time and I have had many many good times in TSO/Ealand.

Oddly enough some of my biggest laughs came from the bugs in the game. I'm sure many of you remember the plate bug, Every time you went to clean up your plate your sim would take off running all over the lot. Upstairs, downstairs, swim acrossed the pool all to carry a dirty plate to a dishwasher right next to where they had picked up the plate. You couldnt help but laugh.

Or there was the newspaper that forever stuck on your hand no matter what you were doing. Writing on a chalkboard with a newspaper in your hand.

And best thing has to be all the different people you meet no two are exactly alike lol. I actually find that even my own sims have different personalities rofl.

I know there's alot of stress right now but believe me if we lived through the first beta we can live through this. Lets give it time and in 6 years we will be in another beta laughing about this one.

I'd like to thank all my friends and co-conspirators that I have met in game for many wonderful years

The first few weeks after Dragon's Cove opened were my favorite.

Clean slate, new challenge... then the botters ruined it.

wow where to begin! I had lots of good times! I remember when I first started playing right after the first beta.. about a week after, (as i got this for christmas and never installed it lol) well, anyways, I remember how we did not have stores, casinos and what not, and we had to make our own fun in the game.. be someone else.. just as the box stated and so we did. I made some great friends too.. and are great RL friends as well.. We have very similar sim names in game, so everyone thought i was both lol.. but i remember all the having fun doing gnomes til you drop, and most everyone was talking as we skilled.. i remember when that trade option came into being, ppl were making stores! doing everything in trade mode! not like they have it now.. and then when the big stores came... wow.. then my ultimate favorite in game was when i got to do my pet pulls and pulled my very first rare of a cheetah! i still have that same one! i pulled it in CC! people would come to the lot and just watch as I would pet pull and to top that, We can not forget how and when they brought death to the game! wow.. boy was that something! the names that people would call us because we would die! lol.. this is a game, not rl and people wanted to see how it was.. so we had to check it out, so we had helped make the first cemetery in the game! lol.. it was fun... or how about when they brought the accessories to the game? it was a mad house! hardly anyone could afford the more expesive items, but we did go out and make money and stocked what we could! lol.. i guess i can go on and on and on, but i still love this game, i log in now everyday and i really do enjoy it. I am making new friends.. and that is a good thing! a very happy moment indeed!

Oh yes trying to die was not as succesful as surprise accidental death was lol, I died 3 times before I finally gave up trying to fix lightbulbs. I also remember the computers stuck to your hand. You had to leave the property to get it off.

All the contests of death. Swim till you die etc.

My very favorite time was building and testing and then running a pathing/game item quirk maze in Blazing Falls.

I am very sorry I don't still have that property. I was really proud of myself for offering something totally unique to the community, and for taking a turn in providing and hosting the entertainment, instead of just partaking of it.

New Year's Eve 2002. I used to be pretty wild back in the day. It took me a few years, but I think I've bought all the pictures from that night.

Back in the day when EJ was the 'place to be', I had my best times skilling at Body By Beau while the host, Beau, DJ'd on his own station with his gf. That was my introduction to TSO and some of the funniest times.

my favorite times in TSO were tagging and trying to avoid being tagged, it made the game more challenging and made me less prone to be AFK lol.

Oh I remember one of my favorite past times in beta ...(when people didnt have to say yes or no to interactions yet)you could make a sim that was afk pee on him/her self and turn them all red lol

I got so many of my friends that way lol and they learned not to be afk without doing something rofl

Wow, there are so many...hard to decide what my ABSOLUTE favorite time was...

Tonight, I think I'll go with Trick-or-Treating as part of a ghost mob in Interhogan. A bunch of sims got together, I think at Cocoanut's place, and died via light bulb or crafting. We then went to skill houses, in a group, and yelled "TRICK OR TREAT!!!" on the doorstep. If someone answered us, we'd hang around for a while and haunt the place (long enough to give that lot visitor hours). If no one said anything, it was 'trick' and we'd Extreme Tickle each other. Ghosts' needs go red very quickly, so each tickle would result in a puddle of ghost pee. We didn't hang around long enough for the owner/skillers to come back from AFK, but it was fun imagining their reactions!

You know, my favorite time is evey time I log on. It's kinda like a present. I never know what I'm going to get, but I almost always like it.

I look at real life like that too. Yesterday is just a memory, today is what I make of it.

Probably the most recent fun was when EA-Land first opened. It was a blast rushing to get cash to make a lot. I teamed up with all my buds from BF and we made a skill house. I never thought living in a crap hole would be so much fun, but it was. It was nice seeing everyone actually talking, no matter where you went. Too bad it isn't always like that, lol.

It's a tie for my favorite time in the game.

First was when my daughter made a granny and gramps sim, skilled them for days in body, then took them to the sim fighting rings. Watching two old sims bench press young ones is funny to watch.

Second was the Lot Bug charity I witnessed in Betaville. Total strangers were trusting eachother, and bonds were being made in a neighborhood. Sniffs . . I miss them.

The opening of Dragon's Cove was soooooo much fun. All my friends still played then & it was just fun craziness when it was new.

But when I was new to the game, and went to my first "Drink til you Pee" Contest....i was ROFLMAO!!

any of you remember when you couldn't price objects? LOL

You would need a sign with prices with the objects behind it. Then sims would come in and say "I want that and that", then you needed to total up the items and go into trade mode with them lol.

Oh I have soooooo many fun times that I remember, most back in BF when I first started playing with a few RL friends.

One of mine *and most embarrasing* was just after I started playing over in BF.

I love all the pets so had the lil fish tank and 2 white parrots...

Now I'm rather forgetful so after a a few days of re-stocking the fish tank I deleted it.

Now the parrots, here the story........

The both died
due to neglect and my 2 friends (RL friends) who had both been playing about the same amount of time said that I had to get a headstone for it.

So I tootle off to a store, look about, no headstones. Sooooooo I ask the owner if they have any

First they are confused and think I want to buy a dead parrot, then after much explaining from me and PMSL'ing on their part they tell me to just delete it (sell back) and it'll be gone.

Hanging my head in shame I go back home where I re-tell the whole story to my mates who fall about laughing - it sort of stuck with me for a while though

Now you all know why my sim is blonde

*no offence meant to any RL natural blondes*

Notice how I deleted the fish tank but NOT the parrot DOH!!!!

I've been here since December '02 (Christmas Newbie). My favorite times would have to have been in BF at Chalkboard Sanctuary. Actually, I became a Dobalina as a joke, and it stuck...I was one for a couple of years if not more. I remember when after I had been living at Chalkboard Sanctuary awhile, Bob (the owner) went out of town with Pebbles (who he was seeing in real life at the time) My friend Noria (also a Dobalina) Turned the house into Barbie's Dream House...ahh how pink it was! This is why when you go out of town, you don't give build permission to anyone, unless you know they won't do anything. We also drew a couple of ... obscene picture with tiles on the ground and roof (not going into details there, lmao) Some of you may remember Letta's Creativity from BF...I was the one who did Hobo Haven...you can do things with out building permissions too, haha.

haha, we used to call dead parrots, bats...and I actually had a person come into a lot with some of our dead parrots or "bats", they said they were an animal lover in real life and was very offended, and couldn't believe we would do such a thing. We were laughing so much after she left...but before she left I tried to convince her I was an Animal Lover in real life too (I'm actually a Vegetarian). She wouldn't hear it...lol

It had to be the time I ran out of money and the maid stole my favorite chair.

Oh! And threw away my pumpkin the same day.

I was sooooo mad! But now, I look back on that day and laugh!!!

Ummm, yeah..that was 5 years ago.

My absolutely favorite time was before the game went live and we were in Beta. I was a roomie with the "Mayor" of BF. Also, the first time I was at a place where there was a fire and I saw all the sims freaking out. Recently, the time I was at a casino and my sim was playing slots from the bathroom. My favorite bug is still the flip coin bug.

The best time, was the opening of Betaville.

That first night it was full of bugs and confused players....it was hysterical to see people trying to control 4 sims on full throttle free will. We could still have 20 families on a lot, plus roomies/families...which meant up to 50 avatars running around creating chaos.

The sims would wander off on their own, flirt at will, eat everything in sight, shoo each other out of the bathrooms, green motives when and where, they chose. Chat history was full of "anyone see my sim?"

One house had a whole mass of sims stuck and melded together in a doorway...no one could tell who was in it or not.....lots of really funny and slightly risque suggestions of what was happening inside the mass.

For some unknown reason a whole groups of them would decide to take a walk out the front door and along the sidewalk to the far back corner...interact a bit with each other and eventually wander back to the house, in smaller groups.

Then there was fire......

I have never laughed so much in this game as I did those first few days in Betaville....

***sigh***

....before the anal retentive control freaks badgered Maxis Kyle's team, into gutting free-will, by toning it down, with an option to turn it off, and turned the 'little wooden boys', back into afk money churning/skilling 'puppets'.

Hmmm...come to think of it, that may have been the point at which I became a fan of the pros.....at least they usually have a sense of humor.
