So how's the population nowadays? Worth being a crafter anymore? (Siege Specific)

Population gets worse everyday. I could play for six hours straight running around luna looking for a fight and only accualy pvp for like 30mins to an hour. Although Potion crafters and other pvp goods are needed due to the expansion stealing our crafters attentions.

I think once everyone gets done collecting their resources for their uber gear more people will be running around looking for fights.

Crafter - definitely. Lots of rich pvp'ers here who want to PVP as much as possible and spend as little time as possible crafting the items that they require to PVP with.

Population - as always, slow decline. But there's enough people here to - hunt with, pvp with, or craft and sell wares to depending on your desire.

Well I just changed race to gargoyle and I am having trouble finding good earings and neck items to completer my suit but...the problem is this items wont let me use meditation. :(

If you are going to be a crafter and imbuing, let me know. I could use a good pile of (mage Armor) earings and necks.

The game has changed over the last year, so has the type of population...
You can still do PvP...just select a place to guard or ambush from and eventually,
people come by...

Crafting is now being dominated by the skill Imbuing ... you can sell items
if you have a vendor site... It best to join a group and talk with them about
crafting... but, you will find the community is tight these days...
Mostly, you can be a raw material supplier or final product seller...
Most of your customers will be people who do...PvPing.

Good luck Drum,

I think the fact that to make the top of the line weapons from Imbuing you need Crafted blanks and then a Crafter to enhance them makes it a great time to come back!

Prodo shards will soon be done with imbuing as they will have the goodies all powered up and insured for years but on Siege the supply must continue.

Hope to see you in game!!

what....? Lol Its not so much hating, Kelmo. I just dont see anyone around since SA, also all of the crafters are AWOL on imbuing so getting a keg of greater heal when no allis are on is like pulling teef *check out my grills*.

So yes new/returning player. Please come to siege, please have alchemy and cooking and weak ass trap box and smoke, shuriken, dart making on your template. = )

That better Kelmo? ....big brother is always watching.

Last week's FoF mentioned that this was an oversight and it will be corrected soon. :)

Thanks everyone for the direct answers as well as the ... um... representational discourse?...

I think I'll be happy with making pointy sticks for people. See you in game =)

IMo there is a need for the following types

a pure smith/ tailor reward grinder; they can charge a bit more for thier lower end rewards and not just have to wait to fill that uber kit or hammer LBOD to make some good cash for thier efforts.

a pure resource gather type; mining gems and parasitic plants play key parts in getting max intensity in several desirable mods.

A pure pvm resource gather; Many of the crafting essences are guaranteed drops from fairly easy to do mini-champs. There should also be a market for items to unravel for magical residue and enchanted essense. You also may come across the occasional item, crap arti drop, etc that will yield a relic frag which can net you from 100k-150k.

An artificer; who buys all this crap from people. I will tell you I have been workign from either my own stock-pile or guildmate donated-for-services rendered ingreds to do some of the things I have been doing. Imbuing weapons and jewels goes quickly if you have you materials on hand and well organized. Armour, on the other hand, is more time consuming and take alot more thought and planning. Lots you can do with armour. you can make nice luck suits, nice lrc suits, and complimentary pieces to round out a faction suit (these are my favorite builds to be honest). Most is easy to reproduce. You can go a cookie cutter, well stocked vendor route witht he skill or you go how I have been doing and do custom jobs for people. The latter obviously requires a bit of trust on both the part of the artificer and the customer; you want an artificer who does not make you grimace if he utters the words "LET ME HOLD THAT":).

Someone who just wants to spend all thier time crafting can, of course, combine a few of these roles. Someone like me who really likes to pvp but oh may enjoy tinkering with Imbuing is more likely to buy or barter for that other crap rather than run it down myself; altough I tend to do my own monsterbashing since I have a variety of options for doing so atm. I personnaly do not like doing bods and hated having to break down and grind out some of my own low-end rewards:).
