Polymorph changes, please

Apart from some very situational rp value the polymorph spell does nothing. The only good that ever came from this spell for me is that I once killed a demon only to discover that it was a polymorphed player and had a good laugh.

Necromancy and ninjitsu 'morphs' get special stats along with the change in most cases.

Isn't it time that the magery polymorph spells received some modest but useful buffs?

I use the spell to fix my rat form when im in a few Coon champ. Turns me from grey to blue! This can be the difference between getting killed and getting murdered. There is a difference!

That and when semidar spawns I morph into a human female to avoid the direct damage reflection she does. This does work. It wont stop the area arura life leech. Most other forms also end this but my bard/mage doesnt have wraith.

As far as champ spawns are concerned it is usefull but I do agree aside from that its very limited in uses.

Well Incognito used to remove murderer status for the duration, allowing reds to enter town. I don't think that's still the case but in my opinion it should be.

ya polymorph forms should have bonuses

i would like to see each form have bonuses that could benifit almost any combination of skills.

for example, fighter mage, could turn into an orc for better fighting skills, or a demon for better hybrid skills

i dont remember everything you can turn into, i havnt used the spell in a long time>.>

Also helpfull if your fighting Semidar to poly to a female form she really doesnt seem to like male chars.

Barracoon was already mentioned.

Think thats the only champs that its usefull for and some RP

not even that good for role playing seeing as its duration is so low >.>

even with no bonuses, i think just making it permanent would be awsome so you can be cool while your fighting

especialy for warrior mages, fighting in demon form would be awsome

You mean poly or incognito?Poly will last forever as long you dont push the button again or relog for whatever reason.But yes its uses are merely stetical and maybe at barra spawn to get rid of rat form.Im all up for useful poly,but that would probably make ninjitsu as skill a whole lot less usefull i think..

I just think they did a great job with the necro transformations. I play a character that roleplays a lich and remains in lich form all the time. There are reasonable pros and cons to choosing any of the necro forms. Even horrific beast is useful for new characters.

I'm just thinking of how great it would be if they extended that to polymorph.

I roleplay an Ettin now, and a change ages ago made it so polymorph is permanent over a certain magery level until you die, log out or cast it again.

Polymorph can also be used to avoid a Succubus extra damage bonus on male templates. Very good for doing the Sanctuary quest.
