Please post board usage from 30-GM fletching

I want to include a section on board usage from 30-GM. Can anyione help? Post your totals here. Putzi has already given me a figure of roughly 66k boards from 30-98.6. If you have figures, reply below. Thanks!

Okay, I have a total from 30-85.5 so far. I went lumberjacking and stockpiled close to 60k worth the board, and I have roughly 17k left to try to get to 90.1 on. So I am guessing totals to reach GM are going to be close to 80-90k, giving the fact that heavy crossbows use 10 boards per bow and that's on successes. With fails and other factors added in I would not be surprised to see totals come close or even pass that mark. *Sigh* time for me to go burn the other 17k now.

30 - GM in 84000 boards. I actually think I got lucky as some of the gain runs seemed too long for in the 90s. I just finished this last week.

30-GM (10 hours) reselling all bows to bowyer 110K boards. Roughly made back 2/3 of gold spend on boards (boards priced at 3gps).

I didn't count the whole way but I can say that from 98.6 to 100 it took me 6,834 wood while making only repeaters.

If i remember correctly i think when i trained up fletching, i did 30-GM in about 85 - 90k boards.

Well I finished the road to GM Bowyer today. I've made the journey a few times before but I thought this time I would keep statistics on the wood consumption and such. I didn't keep track of how many hours it took me but I did keep track of the number of GGS gains I got. So without further adieu here are the results.

.9 gains from the GGS at 60.4,77.7,85.7,91.2,92.3,93.1,94.9,95.7 and 99.5

31.5-60.4 regular bows 11k boards and 20,262gp
60.5-75.3 x-bows 9k boards and 23,927gp
75.4-86.4 composite 17k boards and 42,141gp
86.5-95.7 heavy x-bow 26k boards and 66,803gp
95.8-100 yumi 13,011 boards and 24,738gp

I was doing the most difficult bow up to about 70 skill then i was going toward a bow that was in the 60% success range. Loosely following the FAQ. I have the data broken down into 1k board runs if someone wants to see the raw data. I was interested to note that I only once went through 1k boards without a gain. That was at 89.4 making heavys, oddly enough I made heavys again out of the next 1k and gained .5. I gained just .1 on 7 occasions beginning at 89.2. The final run of 1k boards ended with the final gain on the second attempt, first successful one, using 11 boards.

56.7 to 90.2 has taken me roughly 39k boards so far. I'll update with my to-GM count when I finish.

I seem to have needed quite a lot of boards and time: it took me roughly 80k boards and around 25 hours to go from 50 to GM ( I have a full usage log).
Interestingly, there have been several nasty runs, taking me between 1500 and 2300 logs to gain just a tenth, and they have happened both when making a single kind of item (heavies, for instance) and when switching between two different items (yumi/repeaters).
All in all, I wouldn't suggest my method, then =)

I am still working to GM fletching - currently at 98.2 - the reason I am posting is because I went from 96.5 to 98.2 in ~3500 boards. My movement upwards seems to have increased because I am wearing a talisman which greatly increases my chances of success. I don't think it is just luck I'm having - could it be I am making exceptional items at a greater pace than the actual skill should? Anyone else seeing the same with this or other skills?
