Please: Add Fishing Poles to Target By Resource (EC)

I love this action for lumberjacking and mining, yet for fishing there is still a lot of unnecessary clicking involved.

I think it should not be very complicated to implement, so please devs, consider it for the next EC patch.

As I feel I'm not alone with this request, I made this a poll

with mining and lumber jack there is a target by resource button you drop tool into and whn you press it it attempts to use the nearest resourse square of the right type
in cc you use target by area i believe its called

I always used UOAssists "target relative position" for that. It bugs me that this is the one thing from UOA I cannot reproduce with the EC.

The idea of 'target by Resource' for fishing gets a "HELL YES!" vote from me.
This is probably the #1 most important thing we fishers should have.

and not actively click anything and fish for hours.

Og course you would have ot watch for the errant serpant or two but have asked fir this before, voted for it now and HOPE it gets imnplemented.

We have black powder in the game now. Mining and fishing could be helped with explosives. As would shape charges for lumberjacking. Easy should have risk. Others can snatch up what is scattered about. Making the explosive tools can die on a fail. Using the bombs can also lead to OooOOOing all the way to a wandering healer. Mother Nature could be woken from her slumber sending minions of pain to those lonely explosive users.

Right now you can make a long macro and use "target Last" to fish hands free for long lengths of time so this addition (target by resource) wouldn't affect it either way.

What 'target by resource' would do is allow us to troll fish on our boats.
You can do this in CC with UOA (target relative) but not possible in EC until fishing poles get the 'target by resource' option.

Although I never had much luck with TbR in mining (I like a more manually targeted set of macros), I see no reason why it wouldn't be helpful/useful for fishing where location isn't nearly as much of an issue.

So yes, throw it into the system!

if im not mistaken, you cant do it with UOA anymore either.

seems to me last time i went out fishing i couldn't get it to work anymore.

so its not just the EC that dorked, the 2D doesn't do it anymore either.

so we are both dorked!

ill go log on to verify, but i know i had one guy i scrolled up and i was gonna go work him up and realized that my UOA wouldn't work anymore, talked with a guildmate in TS and he said the same, so i just packed the boat up and went home, hehe, beans if im gonna play the clicky clicky fish game for hours!

Actually, what happened is that they changed something back around the time the SA client was released, that screwed up Target Relative.

Target Relative Macros that existed before the change have to be replaced with new Macros - you can't fix them simply by editing the old ones, but have to rebuild the Target Relative ones from scratch.

Otherwise, yes, Target Relative still does work in UO Assist.
