Player/Character Directory?

Hello!

I've been thinking. When I'm hanging around the forum, I often read posts by people and have no idea who they are, because their Stratics username isn't the same as any of their character names.

This isn't particularly inconvenient, because usually one only needs to ask, but I was wondering - would it be worth making a thread where people just list which characters they play in-game? It wouldn't be just for RPers or PVPers. It could be something like a shard directory, just so everybody knows who's who, and if you're engaged in an excrement-flinging contest on Stratics, you know who you're flinging it at.

Besides that, even for the people whose Stratics username and character name is the same, most of us have a couple of alts. It would stop all the confusion that arises when someone starts a huge involved conversation with another player who doesn't know who in god's name they are because they're not the same character they were yesterday.

...or maybe, in case he comes back, I just want to be able to keep track of all Aspen's characters. -_-

Hehe, that aside, feel free to start one. We did have a thread where people named all of their other alts (where willing), but I suspect the thread has dropped into the cyber abyss by now. I'll look for it just in case...

Edit: I've had a look for the thread and it's definitely gone.

I'd love that, I usually have no idea who people are in game as opposed to the forum - I see a lot of "older" players who know who each other are in game, and it kinda gets assumed that everyone does - but I'm usually (and, you know, as a general statement about myself) totally clueless =P

I did something like this on our guild forums for poc members for the same reason we just got so confused with who was who.

My user name is the same as my character name BUT I do have a few alternates (3 accounts).

It's closer to the original costume than his current costume, but it's pretty close.

Yessss, decided to do a little twist! So I aped the Dragonball Z style (those guys always seem VEDDY ANGRIE for some reason) and applied it to my beastie-priestie-boy. He's really quite a nice guy, hasn't even toggle war mode or eaten meat since I created him 7 years ago.
