Pizza Payouts Unfair, PIZZA STRIKE!!! PICK UP YOUR TABLES!!

I am calling out to all of my fellow sims in tc3 to STRIKE and eliminate the pizza game from their gameplay until it is changed.

The payouts for pizza are ridiculous. There is no difference between 4 players with full skill and 4 players with no skills. I don't know why an intriguing game like pizza would be shut down by the developers. You make more doing jams than pizza. How about a trade you do to money objects what you did to the pizza game. Or at least do the same to money objects and jobs. That would be fair to me. So to impact money objects like pizza was here is what needs to be done....

Money objects: Cuts the base payout in half then add 1$ to the payout if the player has a skill level of 0-20.99. this way everyone will make the same amount which will be about 6$ a jam. So that will fix money objects.

Then to jobs: cut the base payout in half, then have the promotion be disconnected from a players skill level to make it fair for everyone. Skilling isn't important it ALL about not giving other players an unfair advantage. You should still do promotions for players to feel good about putting in hard work but just don't increase the money they make for practicing their jobs and mastering the game over time.

So these are the suggestions I give to developers. If you could put these into effect I would feel a lot less targeted. I know all about the bot programs people use to gain money without playing the game. I completely understand the need for money to be controlled in ealand. But now you sell the simoleans or ebuck or whatever s from atms, so.... you have eliminated an outside market on ebay or other sales websites. So I ask why?

I understand on paper it sounds like a fix to exploiters but you can never eliminate them by system wide changes. Just look at what their name means" exploiters" the abillity to gain an unfair advantage over others in a set system. that is impossible to stop. the only way you stop them is shear man power with in game policing and account monitoring.

I would like all that read this to reply:

Either you are for or against - so choose and reply

1- tell why I am wrong

or

2- Reply with "PIZZA STRIKE"

-TAKE PIZZA MACHINES OFF YOUR LOT REPLACE WITH A PIZZA STRIKE SIGN

-DO NOT SELL PIZZA MACHINES AT YOUR STORES

-ANNOUNCE "PIZZA STRIKE" ON HOUSE AND SIM BIOS

THANK YOU FOR READING

I agree with you that houses should get away from pizza. Been saying that for weeks. I want to see more maze and code (band is bugged). So yeah, salvage the pizza machines and replace them with maze and code. People won't be *alot* happier because of the bugs to be worked out with this new cap system, but they'll be at least somewhat happier because I KNOW code and maze pay more than pizza.

You are SO right.

Since the pay-outs have been dropped I never play pizza anymore.

The game is a completely mess because of the low pizza pay-outs and the ridiculous bot measure thing.

Let us play again! Let us have fun and let us make money!

They are taking away the fun.

sorry to hear that it is $ house owners like you who have the greatest impact on the game.

and you support what ea has done because you do not want to loose visitors

I understand that.

Alot of people feel this way, sadly. They look at the paltry payouts of pizza and jams and assume that all payouts are the same, completely ignoring the 'dynamic' part of the economy. The cap is having an affect on this, but I bet dollars to doughnuts people would reach their cap slower doing things that are 'different' than the same things over and over again. In job track the reports I've heard have all been on the robot track, so I am betting also that the dynamic aspect is being affected there....with the masses flocking to it how can it NOT be?
which is my new sim that I am using to test this will be doing the DJ track, because it is not done a whole bunch, and I will not touch a pizza machine, I will paint and/or use a typewriter for the single object portion of testing, or I will get a second skill like logic so I can do boards since I *know* there is a board house in TC3...easels I'm not sure of.

Now do you REALLY think that just because you ask them to pizza strike and put their tables in their inventories that they actually will

I'm told that this is one of the scemes/scams that the botters use to get a lot of money unfairly... lowering the price certainly stop that kind of behavior dosen't it lol...

Some most certainly will.

What does putting an item into your own inventory have to do with botting/scamming? Not expecting an answer.

I am a cause junkie, all for non-violent action, changing the world, etc.

But -- I am confused what a "pizza strike" will accomplish?

Do the devs care if we pizza or not? Does it affect the game if we boycott pizza?

I love playing pizza, but have not played in weeks after reading about the miserable payouts. It seems that a "pizza strike" would be saving players from wasting their time, but what goal did you have in mind?

What am I missing?

Who said it did? All the poster was commenting on the item was being used as part of botting and scamming. Might want to read that post again.
As far as pizza striking, doesn't really matter one way or another. I am not really a pizza fan anyway. It use to be fun, but since too many players have taken it too serious it isn't much fun any more.
I personally like the code machine at the moment. The sims have some funny interactions. When they fail they stomp the ground and look sad. But when the code is right they say 'Yay' and cheer. Now that is fun. Don't get that with pizza.

I

I'll join your confusion lol. So if everyone goes on strike and puts up their pizza machines, less people will be doing that money object so the payouts would go up again for those who did not put their's right? Just trying to figure out this new payout system. The less people doing an object the higher the payouts right?

Actually pizza players have more than 2 interactions. And you can choose them yourself.

As for the strike. It has already started. Try and find a pizza being made in EALand. Good Luck.

I am sorry I can't give up pizza. I hate the payouts too but we did a death strike and that didn't solve anything, payouts still went down.

That is one of the things we can do in game that is fun to me. I like using my brain with leading pizza or doing bubble pizza with friends.

Sure we don't make money but it's like solitaire or something that you do on the computer during the day when it's boring. It doesn't pay much but it is entertaining for a while.

OT: Is this the emazing from DG who used to think I was botting because I had my own pizza team? If so you can see, I'm still addicted and the devs can tell you I give money away regularly so nope, not botting still and not a millionaire by far.

Good luck with your strike, I hope it does bring it back but I don't think it will sadly

Although I generally try to be understanding of the developers point of view, if this really is happening, I'm with you all the way. Although I personally am not affected much by pizza, its not cool for the whole population to lose something so populer because of the exploiters. I don't see how a pizza strike could put anyone any further in the red considering the payouts.

Edited for dumb error.

A "pizza strike" is a fastball, high and tight, with a lotta mustard on it (or was it mozzarella?), to shut down that heavy hitter so he can't take you downtown with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth and balloon your ERA into the stratosphere.

Yes, I know that's silly.

Let me see if I have this straight: You guys want to stage a pizza strike because of low payouts. Okay, I'm understanding this so far.

But, what happens if everyone stops making pizza? Well, assuming dynamic payouts are automated, this will cause payouts on pizza to increase.

Unfortunately, with all human players boycotting pizza, the only entities that will know about, and profit from, the increased payouts caused by the strike, will be the botters.

Great plan, guys!

Dynamic payouts will mean nothing with earning caps. Good luck finding anyone that will play pizza for $1 because they already hit their cap for the week.

As far as the payouts for pizza, did you read the interview with Luc about why the payouts are so low. Had to do something about so many players pizzaing at one time that the demand was too great at that time. Do you think this is still the case?

Code is a bust too. Last time I played it the payout was 6....skill bonus was more but that will not last long. Maze may be better with two maxed skills but how long will that last? One max skill had a payout of 20 so for two what is it? 40?

THANK YOU YO ALL WHO HAVE REPLIED

I enjoy the support and criticisms. I remember a time when botters were doing the maze game to make a ton of money. Maxis deleted the object from the game. We bitched and bitched for six months and guess what maze was reintroduced to the game. I know many of you feel the dev. ignore what we ask for but they are doing what they feel is best for the greater good of the game. I feel this system they have set up is well used in ealand where" the stakes are high" but there is no reason to worry about botters in tc3. Like I explained there are always exploiters. these folks will always make about 10x what a normal sim makes. So no matter what you drop payouts to they will be there. So why punish players who want to compete in these games like pizza. I like to be like wow I made 1k that round that was a good round. I am competitive. If you swing this matrix then the botters will do chalk boards then they will do pinjatas. There is not system wide initiative to stop exploiters. Only way is in game policing. So i only see dropping payouts as a way to make sims not be able to run a house or start a house of there own. I have seen some AMAZING creative exhibitions from sim and don't want sims to loose that chance. As to what will this accomplish, most likely nothing 90% chance the dev are set with what they have going. But did they do the million man march in washington d.c. because they were sure they would create changes ? no. They just express as a mass there disliek for what was going on. As to you money lot owners in tc3 who dont want to lose visitor hours by picking up pizza. How many paying players even play pizza? It is a sacrifice I will admit and those of you who only play for fun will be giving up the most.

I still ask all of you to pick up your machines and put " pizza stike" in ur prop description. and stores display "pizza machines not sold here"

This has a 10 % chance of working and I feel that the dev. keep an eye on how we feel about the game. So pls join me

So all the suggestions they've been implementing were...what? Most things I've seen put in since we got our team have been player suggestions/discussions.

So... I'm confused by this statement.

I mean I agree with in a sense whatever mod said that... that ultimately it would be EA's final decision as to what is done.

But also, I want to make sure you understand, the mods on this forum are just regular players who volunteer to make sure we don't curse each other out.

Their opinion is no greater than yours or mine.

The "paper chase" for code has always been 6 since I have started playing in TC3. The skill bonus is what makes it worth it. It's the one multi-player object that has a true advantage to skilling to 20.99......no it's not a fortune but its a far cry better than even the $5 max skill bonus that pizza *was* paying out. If I used that as my meter for everything I'd wonder where the point in it was too, but pizza is way, way skewed on what it pays as opposed to code and maze (wish they'd get the band object fixed and removed the damn buzz not while they're at it, that'd be a great game otherwise....even if the buzz note just costed you half the payout instead of 100% of it)

Just curious, have you thought that maybe the crappy payouts on Pizza might be to get people to try other group money objects? I know not many people know how to play the Band. It is a very simple game and from what I remember the payouts weren't bad. Maze use to have good payouts, but not anymore.
I know I have been voicing on the code, but that was after reading someone else's post on that object. The poster was right. Even with low skills the payouts are not bad at all.
People are so stuck in the Pizza mode and seem to think that, and jams, are the only way to make money, besides the jobs. There are a lot of different money objects and the payouts aren't bad. Just need to look around and see what is available. Jam and pizza lots seem to flood the map. That gets pretty old after a while. Be creative and try other things. Potions, gnomes, boards and etc.
