Pirate Ship bug?

Last night I encountered a pirate ship in tram, killed all the orcs except the red pirate, and did good damage to the pirate ship. Then my computer crashed. When I logged back in 5-6 min later, the pirate ship looked new again. But it was in a kind of limbo - staying at the same place but keeping turning around. I shot additional 15-20 heavy cannon balls/grapeballs but didn't see any obvious damage to the ship and I couldn't cast field on board. Short of ammunitions, I gave up and left.
Anyone seen this before?

yep there are A LOT of bugs with the high seas expansion..

its funny how they worked so hard to FIX PVP (that wasnt broken).. yet they dont do anything to fix a PAID update..

the invulnerable ships are one.. gotta look real close, if the pirate ship isnt firing any cannons at you, you probably wont damage it.

the other one is if you let one sail off screen, just for a second it usually vanishes. even if its damaged.

another one is the pirate ship keeps firing, even after you killed all the crew, scuttled the ship and took the pirate hostage..

ive had my ship damaged many times after it was all over and i was looting it.

the worse bug of them all tho is if your in a party all members are supposed to get the special reward, crappy cannon ball, piece of ship, and split 10k in gold.. but many times random people are left out..

a few times i never even got anything, i was the ship owner and the one that took the quest..

whats the deal with those stupid cannon balls, they aren't much of a reward.. maybe if it was a stack of 10 or 20 it would be better.. hope the devs read this :)

I want to sack my Tillerman and hire one of those red Pirates.
They can absorb huge damage, use a bow and arrow, reload and fire all cannons, stear the ship and heal. All without moving an inch

there is also a bug if you are hidden on the ship when you cross a server line everyone can see you, but you are still "hidden".

They really need to adjust the loot on ships. Pirate loot sucks. Merchant ships are a little better, but not much.

Please, more ammo on enemy ships to compensate for the ridiculous cost of saltpeter.

This price algorithm B.S. has frozen too many players out of High Seas. Ammo is simply too expensive.

As Aaron said, pirate quest rewards are mostly junk. Small flame cannon ball? Small cannons are anemic.

I once got a heavy frost cannon ball. WTF am I going to do with ONE frost cannon ball? I'd rather get a sack of 20 or 30 heavy powder charges than a useless cannon ball.

Orc ship plans are ok, but really, that's the only reason anyone does a pirate quest in the first place. Why else wast time on an orc ship? There is nothing of value otherwise. (excepting the occasional white cloth dye tub)

Ideas for loot on pirate and merchant ships:
*message in a bottle
*treasure maps (hello? Pirates should always have a treasure map)
*polkadot bikini
*fishing nets (even white ones)
*Frostwood
*Random imbuing ingredients (They carry lumber, why not parasitic plants
and luminescent fungi?)

I didn't know there were multiple bugs associated with pirate ship. Just start doing it this week to get the orc ship. Yes it takes a lot of ammo which takes a lot of time to prepare and make.
Last night I tried it again and after firing 20 light cannon balls and 10 heavy ones, I finally boarded the ship and completed the quest. The mobs were not that hard to beat so I don't expect any uber loot, occasional white net would be nice considering only one Scali spawns from about 100 MIBs.

We told them during the High Seas beta about most of those bugs and others and they STILL released it. Watch the patch notes and I bet you money they address the drop rate on the items needed to spawn that new high seas boss(what is the point of a new boss that NO ONE can spawn?) or bugs with those new hooks before they ever consider fixing the pirate ships .

:thumbup1: Exactly right
Im from Siege so I really cannot understand this comment and agreement?

You can stand in one spot, never get attacked or die, farm with a pet or a weapon that basically never breaks or can be taken from you, have multible facets to buy saltpeter, and have multible chars to make items on. AND YOUR COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PRICE????? Most likely on a shard that has billionairs.

Im stopping here before my fingers get me in trouble again.:rant2:

I'm not from Siege, so I don't understand your response.

At best, your argument against my complaint about the cost of ammo is specious.
Farming with a pet, never getting attacked or dying (pk'd), using a weapon that doesn't break, having multiple characters to make items, ALL HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COST OF AMMO.

Billionaires on my shard? I live in USA, a country with more billionaires than anywhere on Earth.
I can assure you, their billions do not increase my standard of living.
The same can be said about the economy in UO.
