I noticed the goza under the steps so I made a square goza (the one tile one with no direction). When I tried to place the goza and target the steps it says...
"You cannot build that there"
"Construction aborted, please try again"
"You cannot build near a door"

If I target the ground (with circle of transparency) directly under the steps it says
"You can only build this in a house that you own"

I tried to place the same goza in my 18x18 and targeted the steps and it let me do it and actually felt under the steps.

So can anyone walk me thru on how to place a ladder on top of the steps of a large Keep? Thanks.

Probably the same exploit that allows people to make new 'floors' out of goza mats and ladders.

I think this is in a top thread over in the homes and castles forum, but basicly you stand where you want the ladder... dbl click the goza and target yourself or your healthbar with it. Then you raise it 3 tiles (edited... thanks Sarsmi) and then you place the ladder... afterwards you can axe the mat an voila... are nice working ladder

It's only an exploit if it gives unfair advantage... seeing as it gives no advantage at all in the slightest and anybody CAN do it... it therefore is NOT an exploit...

Just creative use of in-game items.

That sounds like a good plan. I made my own seven tier pagoda once..


I think the only issue with those ladders is you need to be on the step to step onto them.. they're too high to reach from the ground, otherwise they won't reach over the wall. At least, that's been my experience.

there is a keep there that will just plain blow you away.

i saw it for my first time like 2 days ago.

it has a whole floor build of goza mats between 2 of the turrets and has passages made of goza mats between the roof of the middle area to the roof of the turrets.

its just unreal!
