I decided to go and find a special wood tree that I kind of remembered was close to my house. So I set off with my lumberjack passing custom places until I got to the approximate spot and started chopping. An Ogre came along so I retrieved my beetle (from attacking said Ogre) and ran off to another spot. on my way back to the original spot (in Tram) I took a few steps and WHA.... I am surrounded by Fel terrain!?! So I check the houses around me (there are houses so I must be in Tram, mustn't I?) and they look the same so I tried to push through some creatures and there was no resistance so I was in Tram? Very perplexing? I recalled to my Fel house and then back to my Tram castle and the terrain was Trammel ...UNTIL... I headed a little way off between two castles where the terrain again changed to Fel!?! Unless my castle and Katts are now in Fel - WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

Just to make sure it wasn't a fluke I logged out and logged back in. I started out from my Tram house (still Tram) headed between the two castles (still Tram) to the tree in question (so far so good, still Tram) and started chopping (maybe 10 secs and I'm in FEL!?!). Gonna try another char now!

It is a feature! you know one of the million bugs we have that never got fixed
And just in case you do not know wood spawn moves around like ore now so its random when chopping

It just sounds like the regular Fel bug to me: visit Felucca, return to Trammel or Malas, and the graphics will keep switching back and forth between the two facets. I haven't seen it for a while - I thought that they ironed it out about a year ago, but perhaps it's been reintroduced by some sort of glitch with all the new material that has been added to the game recently. I could swear it's been around for years, but I may have been imagining things.

It always mildly annoyed me (mostly because the Felucca terrain is so ugly) but it doesn't damage the game, nor does it affect the shard rules. It's a purely graphical bug. I don't know how to fix it, though, so good luck with that.

Being a little chilled, I managed to empty Kats Rubbish Bin, and create a makeshift home for the sleeptime.

kev: Thats been happening to me for longer then i can remember. It doesnt often happen the other way round, but once i was in fel with my miner when the trees went 'tram', after a while i forgot i was in fel when a red (Ron if i remember) came along and quickly killed me. I embarresingly enough stared at the screen thinking that Ron had descovered some amazing bug to get a red to tram for a full minute before i realized what was going on.

Still happens to me, though it hasn't happened in about 2 weeks. This even happens when I am on Malas or Tokuno Islands... All of a sudden you get the Felucca noise and the trees and everything change.

Just figured its one of those bugs...

One way to reproduce the bug is to recall to Fel then back again, within a few minutes you'll get the sound/desolation effects. You'll also see nightfall even if you've got nightsight (via items or race).

Yeh I get this everytime (almost) I goto Tram after being in Fel. Has been round for years. Hopefully one day it will completely bug out and give tram a fel ruleset instead of just trees hehe, would be very funny... *wishes*

Its a bit like the 2D bug where sometimes if you log onto 2 shards in a row withe the same (un-restarted) client, sometimes house graphics will bug out and you will see other people's houses on the wrong shard.

why? its a bug in the game and its really bloody annoying because you cant see anything in the dungeon properly
