This is weird, do the prices after a while start to decrease? beacuse I found out that Pizza Machine, and the 2 pet cages, which used to cost 99k now cost less than 99k, I belive that Dog cots around 40k and Cat costs around 35k, and pizza machine around 85k I think.

Adjustment to prices have been made periodically by the developers for quite awhile now. I believe they change even more frequently in TC than EALand.

I think they go up and down. I've noticed a difference in prices of stuff from day to day.

I hope the bookcases get to a reasonable price. I've had a really hard time finding them in the stores, and special order priced them around 2.5k. Yikes!

That's what I have one set for...unfortunately, to make a profit, you have to set things higher than what they are listed for in the catalog. Stinks, I know.

$2,500?? I'm selling bookcases as low as $279 (in TC3, i dunno how the prices are in EAL).

Whoever is selling bookcases at $2,500 is ripping you off big time.

It's NOT a rip-off...And how would you know since you don't even know what bookcase it is? The one I have, for example, is lower (way lower) than what it cost to put out even with the discount, depending on the discount the person running the store is getting. Maybe you can afford to sell them for that low because you have a large inventory and get a huge discount. Some of us aren't so lucky. If I priced things any lower in my store, I would actually be losing money. As a store owner, you should know how that works. So please don't tell someone they are being ripped off unless you know the store and what you are talking about. That's just not fair.

P.S. Not only is the one I'm selling lower than actual catalog price, it's also lower than the recommended price you get when you click on it to set the price.

Yes, I know that, that is the feature

But the following objects are currently costing the max allowed (99,999)
Pizza Machine*
Pet Cages*
Workbench
Black Piano

* - these are the items that a sudden price dropped.

Actually, I just checked the price of the work bench and it's currently $6475. Pizza has gone down, too, but not much.

TC3 is a totally different game than EA Land due to dynamic pricing.

Not really, no.
The retail for the brown bookcase is 4478 at the moment.
Max discount 62%.
2500 is perfectly reasonable if that store didn't have 6 of them on the lot already.

But yes, the prices are coming down day by day, especially the pet section. The skill/job item section hasn't come down that much yet.
It's a little annoying since I stocked some pet supplies when they first started coming down and now I have to mark them down and sell them for less than I bought them for.
Live and learn I guess.

I don't know how the prices are in EA Land. In TC3, last I remember the most expensive bookcase was retail $450.

Yeah, some categories go down a little bit each day.
Yesterday a dance floor was 304 retail, today 298.

Wonder if it will be like that all the time from now on.
It's a little silly for stores since you have to stock like 10 of the items at the same time, so you lose a lot once the price comes down again and you have to lower it.

Saw a place that had 6-7 backdrops now, I wouldn't dare to go there...
Waaayyy to expensive if they suddenly cut the price in half and you just stocked.
I'm trying not to stock stuff too much...

Can't try and sell it above retail either, people are gonna be angry that you're trying to rip them off or something.

Yeah, it is a pain when you have to re-price because the prices go down. I've had to lower my prices on a lot of things already. If I lower things anymore though, I might as well just hang a sign saying "Just take it!"
