I wouldn't call it the rarest item in the game since there are more than one, but it's likely the most desirable. The last one I know about sold for 1.4 billion, and Parkay supposedly sold his for $2200-2400 (don't remember the exact number), which is about right monetary-wise if you convert gold for cash.

A lot of these have been springing up lately... :\

With the changes to MR, I dunno how helpful of an item this actually is anymore. Though extra intel/LRC is always a plus, this item was definitely more desirable months ago in my opinion. Still definitely worth having though, if not just for the bragging rights.

that was essentially what i was thinking, but decided not to say as much. the other factor to take into consideration is that if a player has 1+ bil to spend on a sash, then they probably have already constructed a leet suit that contains all the mods they need at or near the respective caps.

Even though everyone knows what they are it don't stop them from buying the items I mean look here someone said they would buy in a second for $500 knowing it is most likely one.

There was quite a discussion on this just recently that came to no set conclusion, though I don't doubt what you're saying. The big problem is we never know who the buyers are for these things, and if/when they decide to sell, are they doing it themselves or through brokers or through other people?

Edit: I don't think it's out of the ordinary to see more of the mega-rares (or any rares) pop up right before Christmas. A lot of people need their holiday money. Plus, I've seen wayyyy more Ari/Bal shrouds and vine cords for sale recently than Lt sashes.

The seller of the last sash was from Drach as well. Not to sound pessimistic, but that 15/13 sc blessed shield has its origins from Drach as well. Hrm...
