There is the problem. You put yourself in the same category as Ru and then claim stealth is overpowered. Ru knows how to work the skill and frequently detects and reveals me and he can pretty much kill me at ease. Loki I have seen around but he is certainly not the threat that Ru is.

If you could use the skill like Ru you would not need to be here discussing changes in stealth. Learn how to use the skill from an expert and if you still see it as overpowered you may have a case. I don't see Ru here moaning about stealthers.

A detector that is in full view would be almost useless against a stealther who isn't blind

Sorry but you are wrong. The template that can kill a stealther is one that has tracking detect and a means to keep the stealther poisoned. I have long since left EA shards and actually don't even play a thief anymore. I am so tired of players who haven't played a stealther keep saying they can't kill them. It's rather easy if you actually know how the game works...la

Detect hidden now has a what 10 second timer on attempts? This is all assuming all the stealther wants to do is get away as opposed to trying to kill you with a pet or dp/ninja.

So if the player is blind, has no pots, no petals, no other skills and is only trying to get away from you at walking speed then yes hiding and stealth is balanced you win
