Parrying needs a further debuff

I have been enjoying the current changes for the most part. The SDI bump is nice, the toning down of archers has me back on a mage weapon. Archers have blasted me a few times, but nothing remotely close as to before.

Yes, the Glenda is f**king stupid and needs to be fixed asap.

4/6 needs a little more attention, but it's pretty close.

The only thing I have noticed that still holds a lot of weight vs mele/ranged is parry. I think shields should be dis-armable or parrying chance needs a decrease. Even Dex consumption on each successful parry would be sufficient thus dropping the parrying success chance

It's affected by Dex. Unless, they changed the rules it requires 80 Dexterity to use.
Pure curiosity why would anyone have lower than 80 dex? What template would be set up that way. Again not being sarcastic at all truly wondering.

Templates that don't use weapons on offense, or shields to parry.

Roach Mage and Holy Fister are the templates everyone is having a fit about.

Many years ago they add the 80 Dex requirement. With today's gear it's to easy to get there

I'll agree that parry needs another adjustment, so, I'll say what I suggested before it was not fixed.

Parry chance should have been cut to 20% when it's paired with Wrestling or Anatomy as a defensive skill and function as it does with swords, fencing, macing, throwing & a shield or bushido.
ie tie parry to an actual "Weapon skill", problem solved -it would still be very useful, if you have both Anatomy & a "weapon skill" it'll use whichever is highest.

Parry could be removed from focus-spec break list if it were (yay! +5% SDI!), and the pro to having parry with wrestling/anatomy is they still have a hand free to chug potions and also able benefit from blocking & reactive paralyze.... I'm like ~100% sure it's been said before.

This is a mage based game. They will always favor the mages and do what ever the mage cry babies want. If this means deleting archery then so be it. Keep this in mind when asking for changes!

Please delete Archery. The window licking brigade has spoken! There should be a proof read option before clicking post. Heck maybe this one wouldn't have gotten posted as well.

Maybe its time to raise the dex requirement on parry since its so easy to obtain now, make it 120 dex minimum to offset the high end gear. Other then raising dex or lowering parry chance some, the other choice is to raise to the HP cap up a little bit to todays gear standards. I still think Chivalry should be given something negative if run with taming or other magic schools as well. Either drop casting down to 2/6 or have it break fist damage down to 20 max if run with those other skills.

What? If anything I am asking for a further nerf to mages with parry.

Can't increase HPI when you are decreasing DPS. 120 dex wouldn't be enough because of today's loot it's entirely possible to achieve. Dis-armable shields would be the best compromise at the moment. A Dex debuff/consumption on every successful parry attempt would also help with lowering the success chance. Even a decreasing parry success chance would help; 35-30-25-20 etc. It doesn't need a huge nerf, but it does need further tweaking.

Many folks are using parrying, on samp or dragoon with shield, don't nerf them.

Parry didnt get nerfed in any way, it was only the focused parry/mage.

They just nerfed tons of things, alchemy, holy fist, parry also due the focus restriction.

Stop crying permanently and enjoy the pvp.
Ya? You mean, Archery? As far as I see it, we got a ton of buffs. Not Nerfs. I don't play an archer, but I can now see the harm that has been caused to them.

I'm no im going to get slammed for this

What happen to the pure templates

A mage with a shield seems silly kinda like a worrior with a spell book a tamer with no pet just a throwing dart.

Parrying got nerfed a long time ago I pure worrior should be as good as a sampier if not better

They need to give a bonus to the original template classes not hybreads
