OT: Magic the Gathering

i been playing the mtg for pc (single player vs computer) using virtual pc (running windows 98) which is totally fun for killing time and relaxing.
anyhow if anyone is interested they just came out with a newer version in xbox live where you can do single or pvp. They might be porting it over to the pc later this year (hopes).

WTF i play the magic online version and sometimes I just want to play against a computer but all they have is a solitaire version. The solitaire version is basically you against your self for testing stuff which sucks. I wonder why they don't have this option on the online version?

There was a game a long time ago that was a rpg... You wandered the land and fought npcs with your spells. If you won you got more cards.

Nope... It was Magic the Gathering. I was addicted back in the day. I still have my cards. Lord, the nights we played til the sun came up...

all my friends rock that game but i just borrow decks so i dont get into the craze, its just too expensive

I don't play anymore... Too many rules. I did place well at tournements back in the day. Before it went pro.

I really miss magic. It was really a lot of fun to get some nerds around, and some snacks and play magic until dawn. I lost all of my nerdy friends after high shcool though.

The card game Rage, based on the rpg werewolf the apocalypse. I was so good at it, and it was so much fun! And I love werewolves....

And if anyone didn't know you can play magic online, you buy cards just like real ones, and there are tournaments and whatnot...

Don't see how they are similar aside from a fantasy/D&D theme. And I'd still rather be playing baseball, basketball, tennis, golf or just about any other sport than UO. UO is something I do at night and during winter.

on the computer I only care about single player and this is the first time they are having that again since 1999. and whoever did the AI for that one did a fantastic job. The current mtg online is only pvp.

god i loved mtg. i had a roxn red deck. fire ball scorched earth kismet and some hourglass card and some plains ftw. too bad i lost um all when i moved once.ahh the good ole days.
