So here is the story: I am going to Vegas the 24th to corner my friend in a fight, so I have been watching money pretty closely. I had about 554$ in my account, spent around 350 on groceries and other things like bills etc, leaving me with about 200$, all on the dates of about 2/2/10-2/4/10. By the 5th I had 170$ left in my account, but also had gotten paid for a part time job, so I deposited a check of about 170$ in the account. I log on yesterday, and all the charges that had been applied on their respective dates(Restaurant on 2/4/10, Walmart 2/2/10 etc) had all been bumped to 2/8/10, this is after I spent about 175$ on books(Which should have brought me to about 165, but..) my 170$ check was never deposited, and I got slugged with almost 300$ in over draft fees. Can I fight this? I have the deposit slip, from the check, and I know for a fact those charges were applied on the dates I used the card, NOT on the 8th. I've heard of banks flip flopping charges before so they can purposely hit people with OD fees.
