OT: IE8 Lock-up on Flash

Well, for some reason when I go to anything with a flash video, I freeze up IE8. Stops responding, and doesnt recover. I can still use another window of IE. I tried FF, and it does it there too. I can use IE64 bit since there is no 64bit flash.

I have tried re-installs of Shockwave, and Flash. Windows is up to date, IE is up to date, Virus free (did several scans, including online scans), and no Spyware according to SBSD.

Windows 7 Home Prem 64 (fresh install, not upgrade of vista)
HP HDX18 1180CA
4GB of DDR2
500GB HD
M9600GT
Intel Q9000

No idea why its doing it now, seems to have been over the last few days....
any ideas?

If you notice, I said I tried FF and it still freezes there. So that doesnt solve my issue.

Make sure you have the most current update for your video driver. Go to the manufacturers website of your card and update. Fixes a lot of problems.

I had a similar problem a year ago or so. Turned out to be my anti-virus program had done an upgrade and would not allow the flash to run so certain flash heavy pages would lock up. I fixed it in the anti-virus software but I forget exactly how. Should be easy though if that is it.
