OT: Finally some good news!

Life has been a pain lately...the guard has messed up my tuition and benefits, my car exploded twice in 7 days, and I am low on cash...


But today I got a letter telling me I passed my oral exam for the local fire department. I am 21 years old and have the opportunity to have a good job. I've wanted to be a fire fighter since I was in elementary school.

That sucks bad...I think all of us Old Geezers can relate to some crapy car problems back to back to back....it does suck....congrats on the fireman job....thats one of the best jobs you can get in Omaha Ne...they make a ton of cash....which they deserve and our city council right now is trying to screw em over......

Speedy... If it is a dream, do it now. While you are young a relatively unattached. I had an opportunity to be a fire fighter when I left the Navy. I was a boiler tech working in the oil shack. With all of the time I had on my hands as a desk sailor, I was sent to every fire fighting and damage control school there was.

The idea was vetoed by my then wife. So now, I wash dishes and think of what could have been.

The rl guy behind Dante whom played Siege, whom was KSS and then Waka became a firefighter.

To me it is a scary job, but only those whom usually seem to feel that they may be cut out for it, usually are the ones that apply.

Good luck obtaining the career you wish to obtain, as a firefighter.
