Time for our community to agree on some things, and compare and contrast rather than main and scream at each other! I'll go first!
Top 5:

#1: One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest - I've just never read a better book, seen a better movie, or better acting. This is a must see movie for anyone.
#2: The Outsiders - Just one of those movies I grew up with and love.
#3: Tie between Superbad/Bad Santa - First time I saw both of these I was in tears, I don't think I've ever laughed so hard.
#4: American History X - Just a great story. And the fact that it was written that Ed Norton would return to his racist ways, but he thought it was a bad message and demanded it be rewritten made it that much more powerful.
#5: Remember the Titans - Great story, great movie.

There are very few movies that make me say "Holy **** this is amazing." when watching them.. that was one of them, I bought it as soon as it came out. It's got comedy, violence, insanity. Not to mention quite a few quotable lines.
[edit] Though I am surprised it was rated R.. no real violence except for the ending, no profanity.. maybe it was just the intensity[/edit]

But you can be a fan of Gettysburg and hate Gods and Generals. I was really looking forward to it, but it was a huge disappointment. I couldn't even finish watching it. Maybe I'll rent it again to be sure, but I doubt I'll change my mind. Gettysburg I love. Zulu I like more but Gettysburg comes right after. G&G though...:(.

Doh, yea, totally forgot about that one.

Awesome watching it the first time, but for some reason I can watch it over and over again even though you know all the twists.

A great movie.

I really like the 'Bourne' movies as well. Matt Damon in my opinion is the 'new' Harrison Ford, very versatile Actor. Most anything with Gary Oldman is awesome as well.

My wife was an extra in Glory, she was in a Civil War Recreation Band [played authentic instruments/etc] and they were used as extras. She actually made it in the movie too, but you really have to be paying attention to see her.
