Can you can please look into NOT summoning Scalis 25% of the time.

i mean a GM fisher can summon this 25% of the time....lord knows the % for a 120.

I look forward to doing a Leviathan...I really dont want to summon something I need to find 5-10 other people to kill.

scale it down please....or create some other method to summon a Scalis....i think there are A LOT of unintentionally summoned Scalis at Bucs Den

Oh I wouldn't mind doing Scalis.... trouble is most folk don't want to spend 20 minutes killing the freaking thing to get NOTHING.

Shoot you can't kill 4 of those things and NEVER get an artifact. I mean doing Corgul at least you know SOMEONE IS going to get something.....
But more often than not killing Scalis no one gets anything but a few deathrobes.

No one wants to put that much effort and expenses into summoning something to get NOTHING.

They NEED to make it more worthwhile.... that's what they need to do. People might actually give a woot if it were worth it.

But I quickly found that folk have given up on doing it because they got tired of never getting anything.

ive done 3 of these and while the WHOLE party didnt get anything each time someone in the party got the coral bracelet..

yes this is too tough for what you get as a party.. but i think many bosses are this way.

maybe tone down the eel summons?

a complete redo of loot needs to be done for many bosses/champs.

one person in a party of 6 or 8 to get a drop while the rest go home empty handed isnt the greatest way to do it.

Scale it down are you nuts!

If anything they need to bump up the drop rate.

I get tired of tossing White Net after White net and not spawning Osiredon.

The spawn rate is already insanely low and your asking them to lower it even more.

Get the hell out of here!:rant2::thumbdown:

The best solution, IMHO, as I pointed out in other threads, is not reducing the spawning rate for Scalis over the Leviathan but simply, separate the nets to spawn either one.

That is, the white net for the Leviathan and another color net, of course a rarer drop than the white one, which will summon Scalis (the spawn rate for this other color net over a white net could be the same as the rate for spawning Scalis over the Leviathan now or, if necessary, a different one...).

That is, move away the randomness from spawning either a Leviathan or Scalis and put it in getting a white (for the Leviathan) or another color (for Scalis) net.

This way, those who want to do the Leviathan can and those who want to do Scalis can, without stepping on each others' feet as it happens now.

Scalis is very huge monster... howcome a fishing net can pull it up... its non sense..

They need to make it the similar method to spawn Corgul.

First of all, you dont need to be a farmer in order to play this boss

Second, you dont need to be a farmer in order to play this boss

Third, you dont need to be a farmer in order to play this boss

Honestly, I dont open my computer 24 hours a day for fishing/mining/lumberjacking like someone else...

It is not quite fair in my opinion.

We do know the 120 Fishing rate... it's the same as 100 fishing, 1 in 4.

I'm torn though on whether I agree with this thread's overall conclusions; on the one hand, inflating player prowess and item power means even on my roleplaying fisher man (he uses only a cutlass and has the Dread Pirate hat) the Leviathan and Kraken only prove a challenge if they turn up with a lot of friends... so the White Net probably does need something to maintain the value of it's relative worthiness.

On the other hand; I am not sure Osireadon fits from the same roleplay perspective, being pulled by just a fishing net. Some sort of "defiance of the lore of the sea", an "Insulting of Neptune" style mechanism would be a better fit... we should be making sacrifices at sea, or blaspheming the wind or something instead of just plopping a net down.

And on yet another hand (i have many) I'm not sure you can declare the rarity of summoning him a comment on how unpopular he is. When ever he is pulled on Europa, there's always plenty of people come for the challenge alone what ever time you shout him out in Chat. I think the problem is no one wants to sit on a boat and risk just getting elementals and nothing else when trying to summon him; And if he's not near a handy dock, or somewhere you can lock him down, the squirrelly AI means that fighting him at sea is just a chore. Also the wide spread funk settling in now the Fishing Reward tweaks have proven to just be shuffling the grind around again, rather than tackling it, has put people off going to sea in general I think... I know my own boat is largely idle now, and many more are too.

But in this next hand, I can also say that I would get down and worship Scalis myself if I got the single square Soulforge drop. But then, you'll always get someone shouting twice as loud as everyone else, if they beat the odds that ensure 14 million other people have nothing to shout about... that's obviously not right, but the squeeky wheel etc.

So... I dunno. I guess I do agree roughly with the thread, Corgul is obviously the more interesting encounter. He even has his own island! Perhaps if Osireadon rose up inside a temple of his own when summoned? But that may be too hard to code. A whirlpool sucks you down? (Like the Serpent Pillars move you to a sub server?) We've been sorely lacking in that classic whirlpool goodness in UO...

I agree with this....perhaps have the Scalis Net be a random drop from a Leviathan

Best solution i've heard so far...
