Can you can please look into NOT summoning Scalis 25% of the time.
i mean a GM fisher can summon this 25% of the time....lord knows the % for a 120.
We do know the 120 Fishing rate... it's the same as 100 fishing, 1 in 4.
I'm torn though on whether I agree with this thread's overall conclusions; on the one hand, inflating player prowess and item power means even on my roleplaying fisher man (he uses only a cutlass and has the Dread Pirate hat) the Leviathan and Kraken only prove a challenge if they turn up with a lot of friends... so the White Net probably does need something to maintain the value of it's relative worthiness.
On the other hand; I am not sure Osireadon fits from the same roleplay perspective, being pulled by just a fishing net. Some sort of "defiance of the lore of the sea", an "Insulting of Neptune" style mechanism would be a better fit... we should be making sacrifices at sea, or blaspheming the wind or something instead of just plopping a net down.
And on yet another hand (i have many) I'm not sure you can declare the rarity of summoning him a comment on how unpopular he is. When ever he is pulled on Europa, there's always plenty of people come for the challenge alone what ever time you shout him out in Chat. I think the problem is no one wants to sit on a boat and risk just getting elementals and nothing else when trying to summon him; And if he's not near a handy dock, or somewhere you can lock him down, the squirrelly AI means that fighting him at sea is just a chore. Also the wide spread funk settling in now the Fishing Reward tweaks have proven to just be shuffling the grind around again, rather than tackling it, has put people off going to sea in general I think... I know my own boat is largely idle now, and many more are too.
But in this next hand, I can also say that I would get down and worship Scalis myself if I got the single square Soulforge drop. But then, you'll always get someone shouting twice as loud as everyone else, if they beat the odds that ensure 14 million other people have nothing to shout about... that's obviously not right, but the squeeky wheel etc.
So... I dunno. I guess I do agree roughly with the thread, Corgul is obviously the more interesting encounter. He even has his own island! Perhaps if Osireadon rose up inside a temple of his own when summoned? But that may be too hard to code. A whirlpool sucks you down? (Like the Serpent Pillars move you to a sub server?) We've been sorely lacking in that classic whirlpool goodness in UO...
