Ophidian and bane

I have -342 ophidians, and they are like enemy.
I have -45 Bane but they also are enemy
Then -15 meer that are neutral.
I want to take side with bane but how can i do?
Also with -45 they are enemy!!
Can help me, please?

kill ophidians and your bane should rise I think its a 1to 3 ratio or something like that so for every ophidian you kill their rating will drop by 3 and bane will raise by one

I think its the same if you kill meer cant remember for sure though

at least thats how it was during the invasion have not done it for a while maybe someone who does it a lot will get you better info

No, if i kill ophidian bane chosen and meer doesn't raise.
But the problem is that the bane are also enemy.
Storm, i kill only the ophidian.
If i understand well more kill ophidian and the bane become neutral and then friend?
I have to kill many many ophidians to resolve my problem?
And the -45 what become?

The ophidian side was turned off when that event ended. Having loyalty with them is meaningless, contrary to what was originally announced.

The only way to currently raise loyalty with the Bane is to go kill Meer. However, you can raise loyalty with the Meer AND the Ophidians by killing the Bane.


This 'event' has been stalled now for two+ months.

I believe killing Meer also drops your kharma so that may present her another problem

Originally, yes, the Ophidians that would gain you loyalty with the Bane were around the lair in T2A and along the road. But thats been off now for quite a while. You will have to kill Meer to gain Bane loyalty, there is no other choice.

Prepare to watch your karma drop like a rock...

bane will attack till you are + with them
each meer will give you +1 with bane for each meer you kill

Meer -291 enemy
Fame 10625
Karma 7696 ( it was about 10000 before killing meer.
Ok, butBanes are always "neutral".
At what points they become allyed?

not sure the answer at about 500 or so you become sympathizer thats my guy is about 780 or so !

as long as you are positive they dont fight you and at 1k or 2k you can trade items for black rock stew i think

Any negative number makes you an enemy.

0-500 = neutral
501-1999 = Sympathizer
2000+ = Friend

You have to be a friend to get the blackrock stew quest.

When did it end? Event Ophids are still in t2a, was just there marking a Ton of runes.
The loyality lets me go there & strip mine to see what's there(probably my once only ever chance), + buy potions

Ah, they fixed it then. After the Bane/Ophidian war abruptly ended the Opidians were agressive to their friends, apparently that has been fixed.

Potions are the only things that loyalty with them will provide, and honestly, neither potion is that exciting.

Killing Ophidians nets you no points with the Bane.

Killing Meer does gain you loyalty with the Bane.

Killing Bane gains you loyalty with the Ohphidians AND the Meer.


Story-wise, the Bane are supposedly attacking the Meer in revenge for the Plague of Despair in Yew and because the Meer are carrying power crystals. There should be a stepped fontline war system between the two as in T2A (since new rewards DO exist: Feline's Grace & Gift of the Eternal), however, it has yet to be turned on.

This is why most people ignore the Bane as irrelevent since Mythic hasn't bothered to DO anything tangible with them.

Well, i have a problem. I don't want to be enemy of Meer.
Now iìve killed some for having an alliance with the bane.
But is it a good idea?
It's a good choise bane alliance?
Or is better kill them for having Meer and Ophidian alliance?

So far, it seems to be the bane against the rest. You have a choice of which side to support (bane - or ophidian/meer) but you can not be friends with both sides unless you choose different sides with different characters.

As to which side is good - or will give the most benefits, that is unknown at this time.

Thats pretty much what I do now!
I got tired of coming through the gate with my pets and no matter my loyalty they would get attacked so i gave up trying and just kill em on site now

Ok, now I was killed the Meer, that I normally like. If noone know the benefit of the alliance with every race, i begin to kill banes, that i don't like very much
After some indecisions this is my choice
