They should do it like they cleaned up the accidentally blessed 7th aniv items on Siege, warn that in the future they will all be unblessed (in the case of these clothes, deleted) and have a trade-in guy in brit who accepts them and gives something else of reasonable value.

It's hard to tell if something is legal or not in game, so many legit items and rares are around that if nobody specifically told you something was illegal you might not think anything of it....especially in the case of cool looking clothes. (I honestly didn't know they were illegal myself, I've only seen them once and thought they were probably from some event or quest/story arc)

I don't own any myself but just saying...flat out deleting them like this with nothing given back means the guys who duped them make out with TONS of gold from selling them, and the legit players get hosed.... (not everyone reads stratics or uoguide....I didn't start myself until I came to siege because the only real way to do large trades with a slow population is on these boards)

I know what the dev said in the other thread, but ethy items aren't being changed just because they are bugged items that cost a lot.

Ethy items, when anywhere but on your paperdoll, look like a jet-black piece of clothing. This includes trade windows.

In the enchanced client, ethy clothing is invisible as an item. When it is worn, its an odd shade of grey.

Hmmm... That's interesting. I wonder how many EC users who fell for that trick thought it was black when in the trade window

I've heard some people speculate that those robes were the reason that it took so long to come up with a fix... meaning the time between the rares fest deletes and now. Good luck with that, anyway.
