One wish i have for the future in UO

hi i don't know how feasable this sounds but i would like the ability to swim or dive or use some sort of submarine in UO. i think it would be pretty darn cool to be able to explore the oceon depths with some sort of oxygen tank and mask and a diving suit or with a submarine maybe all of them. i know it probally won't happen at least any time soon. even the ability to explore under water caves & dungeons with differnt sea monsters and sea creatures would be cool. if it ever happens perhaps we can have a spear gun and have to face danger from sea monsters and sharks and God knows what else. there can be sunken ships with treasure too. well its just something on my uo wish list for some day in the future i do not expect it but i think it would be great. ill make a poll out of this hopefully it will get some possative reactions so feel free to comment and vote thanks.

i can walk/run on water pretty much =)

and i dont think an oxygen tank and scubba gear is out of place whatsoever.. . how about an alchemy potion? or new mage spell?

I'd prefer the developers come up with a better form of PvP for the high seas. There is a lot of area that could be a lot of fun to play as a pirate, but the current ship system doesn't work very well for it...la

I think swimming would be ok but only in shallow water areas (light blue). Only boats should be able to go into deeper water areas (dark blue).

But I think your on to something, underwater city? Do I see an Ultima Online: Atlantis expansion pack coming with a mermaid race that can only go in the water unless they have fins of the cu elf minor artifact? I dunno...

I voted no, only because the whole idea seems out of place for the world of UO. I would however be behind any sort of upgrade that would make boating more useful. How about piracy. I'd love to have a pirate char who could take over or break into and loot other players boats. Or at the very least, toss in a new island or two with cities/dungeons on them that can only be accessed by boat, no recalling in or out, or moongates.

I could be wrong, but diving and submarines have no place in Ultima lore. I'm all for bug fixes and advancing the storyline towards the next expansion.

well not everything in uo started out intially in UO lore i am sure. things change and anything in UO eventually becomes a part of UO lore so i was hoping eventually there could be under water cities, dungeons, towns, caves, and mazes among other things which perhaps can only be reached from going under water maybe there can even be under ground land too sort of a middle earth under the water.
