same here, a lot of things get changed, and in a hurry too - very frustrating - I even had to learn how to burp again, plus I learned to make a whole new array of things to eat, ug.

I happen to think proper grammar and spelling is important. Pointing out to someone that there is some severe deficiencies in their posts is not the worst thing in the world. Hardly a 'troll'... though your posts reek of troll.

I prefer to see "proper" spelling and grammar, in the Queen's own English even, which most Americans seemed to turn their backs on after a little shindig in Boston, if I recall my history...

That said though, it's not the end of the world if someone makes typo's and spelling mistakes, so I really don't see the point of people jumping all over posts for that alone. Criticism of content is fair game I would say, but jumping on spelling and grammar like someone who can't think of anything else better to criticise, is a bit... well... anal.

P.S. EA hasnt supported UO for years now, It was handed over to Mythic. Bio-Mythic supports UO. EA is only UO's parent company. The CSR 's for EA are in Austin Tx. it would be hard for one to go tell a GM you need help outside a internal e mail. Just remember honey gets you places that sour grapes dont when you talk to one. They are people too.

I have never paged a GM and not gotten a positive outcome unless I did not stay on line. It's often been that there were about 13 others ahead of me in the queue. Given that number, I've always realized that it was common sense that I would pobably not get a response for at least an hour or more. It is, however, more common sense to those who have ever been responsible for customer service of any time. It may not always be the CSR. Some customers take a long time explaining their problem in such a way that others will understand, especially when they have fire in their eyes and venom in their voice. That typing looks like "... this fleuy shjk house water trouigh won't again, ya bajshard."

Yes Unified thats exactly what many dont realize they are saying cause they are angry or upset. When you talk to CS you need to focus and be almost blunt to the point but not rudely so. Remember they didnt see or know what you do. But dont treat them like babys.
We tend to forget ourselves when we play that the words we type and say to our friends may not be correct to say to a CS there to help you. Be it a GM or CS be polite.

However, if she did it deliberately, as well as feigned a low IQ and perhaps even put some numbers instead of letters in... well then she'd be koo1.

But having worked every week for the quite a while now with stroke victims, some of whom really were the cock-of-the-walk until laid low by it, all I can say is Lady Storm has way more courage than most of her critics; because to still be trying to keep herself active and positive in even the mildest case is going to be an intense struggle. She has 53 accounts? If that's what keeps her happy, instead of giving up like a lot of stroke victims, who cares? I can definitely say though that every one of those accounts would be a pleasure to play alongside. But of course, negativity, especially online and anonymously and when you've got an entire lazy meme-factory to draw upon is easy, so many people don't even aim this high with their single accounts...

Why comment on that? Do you really think she has a problem and want to help her, or are you just being critical? Why does it concern you what she pays for? Is it so obvious she couldn't play them all? Perhaps she's retired or on disability, and perhaps she lets other people use them.

Perhaps she wants 53 houses on her server.

I don't see it as a character flaw or a problem, even though I personally don't understand it. I think that is someone's business.

I am retired and yes I do play all those accounts!

Yes they do remind me of friends long gone but each has been over the 14 years of UO build up and used quite frequently. I do have my son and nephew and when she is in the mood for it my daughter in law come play too.
There is even occasions old friends do come get their accounts and play. Most dont recognize their characters when I am done. I do think sometimes its my form of barbie dolls on screen for adults. But mostly I play where and when I feel like it. Each shard has a different flavor.... its hard to discribe. Origin is like the vast west full of new spots to explore and collect from... while catskills is like an old day time drama you go there just to see the actors duke it out. Napa is like a old shoe I am very comfortable in and love. Siege P is my vacation spot! Love the place its rustic and well on the bad side just dont forget to get triple A when you go! Oceania is my imagination and I am free to do as I want... hunt, fish a true paradice with good friends. Atlantic....well the wild wild west was never this wild... you have to take this place in small bites. You see I do play all of my 43 accounts that are on. I do play other shards but to list them all and how they are to me is way too much for you to read!

As for the cost... I worked very hard for many years as a wife and mother then as a boss of a company then the health care giver to my mate and his parents till death took them from me. My stroke my kids beleave came from stress built up over the last few years I live with it and worked very hard to even be able to smile. It's a little crooked but I do smile.

My son says it best, Mom you earned it and its all yours to do as you see fit - If its UO who am I to say no. (psst I bought his car for him reciently so no the money is not just spent on UO, my family comes first.)

Lady_Storm is totally able to answer on her own, she knows that "I do what i want with my money" isn't an explanation or a justification, it's just a plain dodge. She doesn't have to justify here either, but she can expect quite a few question if she brings out the topic. What's important isn't really what she answers to us, but to herself. No need to "defend" her, particularily if you don't understand. If you know a good reason, share it. And being able to recreate a ghost city ingame isn't really a good reason, of course.

EDIT: This was written before seeing Lady_Storm's answer. I'd just say that maybe some accounts can be closed, but if you want to pay for your family members, it's a just a gift and nothing to argue with.

Well you know if UO opened back up the game to more than one house per account I could close 8 but only 8. Those would be the house holder accounts I had from gosh 2001 when my guild on Napa and Cats was giving houses to newbies. hehe I really do use my accounts!

I'll say this: it's an impressive feat to manage 10 accounts. Managing 40+ is way beyond my capabilities. I feel like I'm doing pretty good to track characters on just a couple of accounts.

I understand Lady Storm completely having 8 accounts I work hard for what I earn... and if I would rather spend my money on my accounts rather than on beer, cigarettes and drugs.... then so be it.

UO is my Beer. It's my drug of choice. I enjoy the game and I enjoy the friends I've made here and I still love it.

So what she does in her time is her business... and for the record GL's is my second home away from work and stress. It's where I want to be. And the EM's are super!

UO to me early on became my place of peace and calm... even with a dragon kicking my tush! hehe

UO is a drug.

Its a addiction to a place you go to escape. Our world is so full every day with stress.....
UO drains it away.
Oh I play wow and diablo so dont get me wrong UO is not my only world.
But if it came down to brass tacks wow can disapear and I would miss my little gnome chickie but not to the point that I would be so badly hurt as if I lost my Ladys and Gentilmen in UO. My main's are me in a way. Tenya is all heart and soul UO. Storm is the fire and ice but soft to a fault to the young and lost in UO. Welch is the kind of person you want to back up your party. Fayn cares you get the finest he can make.

UO draws out the best and worse in people and its ok..... after you get off the comp and be with your family your more better for it.

Stress is our enemy.

UO is the meds I offer you to calm that stress.

I think thats pretty cool, I know that feeling all too well and is also why I keep paying year after year after year.

Though keep in mind that we have no way of knowing if you're actually telling the truth and truly have that many accounts, but I'd choose to believe it anyway.
