I have an old G2K 300se that I have resurrected for secondary UO use. I am looking for opinions on what I should do with the machine.

Current specs
Celeron 1.2 Tualatin GHz socket 370 100MHz FSB
128 MB PC100

Here is what I want to do

option 1
Overclock the celeron to 1.6 GHz(stability wise, as fast as I would go for this chip)

Option 2
Tualatin Intel Pentium III 1.4 GHz( same L1 cache as Celeron, but has 256 KB of L2 cache)

I am going to get 2x 256MB PC133(mb supports it), 168Pin DIMMs to max out the memory.

Does anyone think that spending the $10-15 extra to get the PIII is worth it?

um ...

so you would clock that via dipswitches on the mobo ?

if i'm not mistaken, that would clock your memory as well.

I would get the PIII.
