Old mage account need advise

Hi,

need advise on my old mage. Maybe for PVM / PVP. It's an unfinished mage and I don't know why I pick some skills in here like focus and anatomy. But maybe it was useful back then?

Meditation : 110
Magery: 104.1
Swordsmanship: 102.3
Anatomy: 100
Magic Resistance: 95.4
Focus: 86.1

The Anatomy could be a couple of things:

1. Your Focus could have been Healing, but when they put the Dex requirement on it, you could have dropped Healing for Focus and just not finished the character.
2. (Anatomy + Evaluating Int) /2 = your defensive Wrestling skill. So 100 Anatomy + 110 Eval would give a defensive Wrestling skill of 105.

Since your Magery isn't finished yet, I would assume you picked up Focus for the added Mana Regeneration while training.

For an updated Template, really, yours looks pretty solid as is, but, something you might consider is dropping your Swords for Mysticism. Tons of good things for Mystic Mages in PvP and PvM, which you can find pretty much all over the boards here

Thanks for your reply Sarkon. I finally finished my Magery. I went to couple dungeon mob like searing elemental and regular dragon is unkillable. They just dispel my EV and Daemon. It seems that EV isn't as strong either.

I still have no idea the benefit of mysticism. I see they have another summon spell too. Is it easily dispelled by mobs too?

120 Mage
120 Eval Int
120 Mystic
120 Focus
120 Spellweaving -- still trying to understand what spellweave good for.
110 Meditation ?

I have 710 only currently.

Rising Colossus is a great pet, but be warned that it takes all 5 pet slots up, so unless you are a gargoyle, you won't be able to use a mount. (gargoyles can still fly). This pet is much more difficult to dispel than the EV is, and does a ton more damage.

Mysticism is good for Cleansing Winds, Healing Stone, Spell Trigger, Nether Cyclone, and Hailstorm...and if you need more Physical Damage, Bombard.

The Spellweaving spell you will use the most is Arcane Empowerment. This gives your Colossus more HP and makes him even harder to dispel. Word of Death makes for a great finisher when mobs get low on life and Gift of Renewal is a great heal over time spell in those cases where you "could" take some heavy damage really fast, it is good to have that up just in case. Also, if you know you are going to fight stuff that will dispel things a lot, Dryad's Allure is nice to go tame an Arctic Ogrelord or a Titan.

I just found out that reactive armor now changed. It is now "attunement" in the spellweaving.

Thanks for the tip about tame arctic ogre lord. Really Interesting! can't wait to skill up spellweaving.

Even better pet to try with Dryads allure is the cave troll fro wrong, 2k hp pet to tank for you, though i dont remember them doing alot of damge by them self.

I tried mystic, it's quite fun. Also, the stone form help to negate the poison.
Need advise what buff to use, do I need protection? it will lower the casting speed if I already use stone form. is stone form needed?
At the moment I removed my resist, thinking to try train spellweaving.

in pvm, how to handle caster that non stop hitting me with spells? I was with friend attacking greater dragon. it cast quite frequent that I can't cure (i don't activate protection at that time).

Protection must have.
If you want stone form you better get 2 fc to the 6 fcr for playing white zero fc.
You can play white -2 but for me it s to slow so i wear fc1 shield and scrapper and slayer books white fc 1.
