Okies whats the best place to find out about EM Events on any shard??

I only really play europa myself...not really got the time for much else..lol...but it seems to be the ''popular'' way to play UO?? play any shard??/

So is the EM official websites the best place - are they always up to date?? or is it a certain time of day on each shard that u are likely to bump into an event, i know atlantic were up in arms the other day because an event was done but had no real announcement.

Hell the other shards event trinkets would mean nothing to me...the only use would be for trading for europa event items that i have missed rather than keep paying with my hard earned europa gold.....

That is the best place in my opinion. I know that all the EMs post their events on those forums and some of the shard EMs post the whole months schedule of events at the beginning of each month.

(You already mentioned the EM websites, but that's Europa's in particular.)

Their calendar has the most recent event on the 23rd but seems to have nothing coming up as of yet. But the presence of an announcement so recently suggests they keep it up-to-date.

Also go to Luna, the WBB, and outside the Counselor's Hall in West Brit and mouse over objects; sometimes they put announcements on locked down shields or lamps or something.

On GL, there's one EM who does events weekly at the same day/time ("network television series" style) and one who does events periodically, at varying days/times. Both are good at announcing their events.

yes its hard to see still when events are going to to take place..and more likely announced just 2-3 hours b4 they commence...yah some asre announded days in advance but are often just no drop events ....its kinda hard for the casual gamer like me to plan ahead ... especailly for the drop events ....but easy i guess, for the 24/7 event guild player...oh well...

Am I the only one that wishes the EMs would POST and keep to a schedule when doing the Holiday hand outs? I know our EMs on Legends think the whole random thing is terribly cute. BUT...during the holidays it is completely 100% annoying. Most of us have a life and are crazy-busy at the holidays.

I myself simply do not have the time at Christmas to stay logged in 24/7. I help with the preparations in my family decorating, baking and cooking. It is our tradition that our baked goods and Christmas dinner fare is cooked from scratch. For the women in our family its a bonding expirence, and a chance to share the history behind many of our recipes. I cherish the memories of being at my late Grandma D's elbow while she made her lovely pies, cakes and food for the Christmas dinner.


I just think it'd be nice for everyone to have a equal chance for the Christmas goodies, instead of having to pay some unscrupulous person 20mil -120 mil a piece for the Christmas items because you weren't fortunate to be on when the EMs decide to grace the shard with their presence....Unless the Dev team wanted to start selling gold on the UO website for like 10 cents per mil or something.

Please for the love of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost...this is not a rant. I just feel that the Holidays should be a Family First time of year. I was told by a player that I have my priority out of whack!?! Because I choose to spend time with my family??? I hope this isn't a common UO attitude. (shudders at the thought)

Perhaps it would be better if there were no EM items and people attended just to enjoy the event.

Makes me think of people who buy beautiful paintings and then hide them away in banks where no one will ever see them, not even the owner. The value of the item has more importance than the item itself.

Petra you'v just answered this thread for me, iv spent christmas eve christmas day, boxing day, yesterday on my own with nothing and no one. No money no one to give presents to, no one to get a present from.

Its a damn lonely world out there.

To recieve a gift from a EM that you dont know and never will thats spending time out from there family to give you something means alot to some people. As its the only gift there gona get over the holidays

EMs will never appease everyone. It is impossible to expect a single EM on a shard to make events at all times of the day so everyone can attend. Being an EM is NOT their full-time job. It is not even their main job. People complain that they can't attend that one event because they have a life. Well guess what? Your shard EM has a life too. Try talking to your own EM about the issues. I'd be willing to bet that they will listen and try their best to accommodate. The EMs actually very nice people if you talk to them nicely.

Not to be rude, But the EMs on Europa announced EM events from the 20th to the 26th of December and I also posted that on Europa in a thread you replied in.

They didn't make the 25th for obvious reasons but if you wanted a gift, being online every other day in that period at 8pm as advertised in advance would have been the best idea.

If this post wasn't about Europas Xmas events, Then I apologise.
